what is the hardest weight class this year in both d1 and d2 schools?

probably 135 cause with lane in there its like fighting for second cause you know hes gonna get 1st

Yes 135 will be a tough one in D1, Lane winning, and with Drinkwine, Baker, Hodge, Morgan, and Gooden, Sholly, and Gessler, all hoping for a good draw to possibly make it to the finals.

 

There will also be good competion at the 103 lb class. there will be alot of close matches.

I think that 103,and 152 will be the toughest weight classes.

275 and 125 are tough weight classes too

there are 5 returning state placers at 275lb. at same weight including the champ and runnerup.

if the state were combined 119lbs. would be by far the tuffest with kyle james, shawn cordell, jordan leen, and cody cleveland. all very capable of being state champions. that would be exciting. but from what ive heard hwt. should be up for grabs. ive not seen all of them but ive heard there are a bunch of tuff ones, for D1 that is.

I was told this weekend, J Gooden (RB) bumped up to 140 for the state, so the brackets had to be reworked?

145 is no doubt the toughest. at least in region 5. when some one ranked 5th in state does not qualify becuase the quality of competition, it has to be a tough class.

I agree that probably the hardest weight class for State will be 275. There are 5 medalists returning: Daniel Crosby, Parks Harding, Thomas Anderson, Jason Pennington and Nick Brugal. It will definitely be an exciting one to watch!

I'd say that 135 is the toughest weight... with five returning placewinners, and three wrestlers ranked in the top six are not among those wrestlers (Baker, Drinkwine, and Hodge). Also, unranked wrestlers like Chase Carter, Aaron Walker, Jesse Gainer, and Mario Allen are all possible placewinners. Predicting the placewinners at this weight is harder than any other since the competition is so tight.

Lots of tough kids. My thoughts are:

Bottom 1/2 of 103 Div.I will be a shoot out. This will be fun to watch.

The toughest weight class(es) is 125 or 135 Div.I. Loaded in both cases with no real clear top three.

I also agree with rabbit on 119 combined has the most talent. Those four (Leen, Cleveland, James and Cordell) are all national caliber.
