Why do you all think she is not being recruited by colleges? She is a good ball handler/defensive player but doesn't score well from the floor. She usually gets her points from the free throw line. Could this be it? This is just an obversation. No diss to Abby b/c she is one of the smartest players with a great knowledge of the game. I am just as confused on why she isn't be looked at by colleges.

She will be a steal for whoever gets her and a thorn to those who pass her over. Good luck Abby.

I hear she is headed to UAH (UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA HUNTSVILLE)and wants to be an Engineer . That would put in the backcourt with Jessica Russell from Giles Co. . IF thats the case she will break their records also . Just hoping . ;);)

congrats, abby! i have known her since she was in 4th grade when she cried b/c they wouldn't let her into bball camp b/c she wasn't old enough. i still remember her like she was then, in those goggles :D. she has turned into an outstanding point guard and any team would be lucky to have her. best of luck, abby, unless you're playing us of course! :D

Way to go Abby. You have always been a gutsy player and at times gutsy, energetic players get a bum wrap. I am sure colleges have been looking at Abby. Some people have to realize that in some cases pursuing your dream of a career may be more important than playing college ball. Abby if you want to play college ball, best of luck. If you choose to apply all of your energies in a demanding Engineering program best of luck in that, too.

My congrats also to Abby-she broke the MC assists record this year held by Susan Faulkner, the MC steals record held by Janet Holt, and scored her 1,000th point last year in her junior year.

As for her not being a scorer, she could be if that is what her team needed her to be.

I'm not sure she currently holds the state assists record, because Michelle Street from FRA broke the state record also this year-that could be a great substate game again this year.

Good luck in the tournaments Raiderettes-this is when Abby will show why she is the best in single A-she is a great leader and won't let her team lose focus on their goal-not a Miss Basketball trophy, but a state championship!

A good post superballa. I do not agree with a lot of things you say but this one hit the nail on the head. Abby has all the attributes parents want in their children. A great player and a coach on the floor. The refuse to loose attitude will carry over and take this team far this year. UAH will be a great fit and offer an education second to none in the engineering field.

I can't bring myself to say supaballa.

Abby has not decided she wants to play basketball at UAH. She would probably like to go to school there but they way I hear it they don't really want her to play basketball. None of that matters right now because it is time for the tournaments. Focus on Monday night and don't worry about the other stuff.

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
