Coach Wadley of TTU

I'm sorry ive gotta say something this may be just me but Coach Dan Wadley trys to find every way to put a team down after a close game. I mean for instance when We played them last night and they beat us by nine he had to find a way to down us by saying "Our defense struggled" I'm sorry thats BS. We have great shooters coach thats why you gave up 70 points not because your defense "Struggled" your a great coach but great coaches don' win by putting other teams down I'm sorry.

Temple's defense did struggle against Lookout Valley...Temple has only given up 70 points or more 3 times this year. Last night was one of those three. The other two coming in both of their losses. Once to McCallie and to Whitefied Academy(the #1 class A team in Georgia). Lookout Valley does have some good shooters but there is no excuse for giving up 70 points. That was not a knock on Lookout Valley. He was simply stating that we could have done better defensively. We gave Valley way to many open shots, and they capitalized and hit them. But hawk that wasnt a knock on valley. they played well last night.

I know Coach Wadley very well and after speaking to him after the game last night he was very discouraged over the number of open looks that Valley had. Valley does have good shooters and if you give them enough open looks they will score. That's what was meant by his comments. He has alot of respect for Coach Crownover and the Valley prgram. Coach Wadley knows that to advance in the tournaments that Temple has to play better "D". Remember that it was defense that won Temple the title last year. Keep playing hard and good shooting last night, Didn't you score 9 last night? Good luck in your districts!!!

I have never heard Coach Wadley speak negative about any team. He had nothing but praise for our team when they defeated us at Unaka. He is a good Christian man and a super coach. He would be a great coach for any kid to play for. I appreciate the good things he had to say about my son.

Well I mean no one gives us respect and to hear him say absolutely noothing positive about us it kinda got us down I mean we get hardly any respect from anyone....For instance when Boyd buchanan beat us the first time it was such a big deal but when we came back and beat em at our place we didnt even get a write up just a measly box score. Temple is a great well disciplined team and i hope they goto State again and win it but I mean Im tired of noone recognizing Lookout Valley and our program for what we are. By the way who are you Sdux4uo??

Hawk, it is the responsibility of the home team's coach to call in scores and give enough info for a writeup when there is not a member of the media there. If I were you, I'd use the lack of respect as more incentive to do well and show people that they were wrong in not giving you any. Use it as motivation.

I have the utmost respect for you all at Valley. I told Coach Crownover how well you all played. I was upset with the number of open shots that Temple gave you. You have a great shooting team and if we continue to give you guys that many open shots, We will get beat. That's respect for you all. I counted it a great win at your house because you beat Boyd and CCS there. Good luck in your tournament and accept this as an apology. We at Temple do respect you all.

Unless they actually send a writer. the Chattanooga Times-Free Press DOES NOT put anything in their paper except a box score and a few stars of the night (5 or 6). Their thinking (according to one of their writers) is everything you need to know is in the boxscore anyway (not his opinion, but just what he was told). All of this from the AP's #1 paper in the state.
