Monday, March 3:

 

Game 1: Brainerd 51 vs. McMinn County 62 - 6:00

Game 2: Soddy Daisy 70 vs. Bradley 82 - 9:00

 

Tuesday, March 4:

 

Game 3: Chattanooga Central 56 vs. Rhea County 48 - 6:00

Game 4: Ooltewah 69 vs. Cleveland 96 - 9:00

 

Thursday, March 6:

 

Game 5: Bradley County vs. Chatt. Central

Game 6: McMinn County vs. Cleveland

 

Friday, March 7:

 

Championship: Winners of Games 5 and 6

 

Winner of Championship game will host a Sub-State game.

Loser of Championship game will travel to a Sub-State game.

It should be a good tournament for District 5-AAA. The District 5AAA boys are a combined 16-0 vs. District 6AAA in the regular season. But you know they say about regular seasons...

Does anyone see any upsets at all in this tounrey??

 

I think McMinn might give Brainerd a run for there money and i think Rhea will beat Chatt. Central. I think it could be all District 5 by the Semi's.

i gotta agree. district 5 looks stronger with is 3 and 4 teams than district 6 does with their 1 and 2 teams... then again you never know... the ugly style of ball played by central brings everybody down to their level. and Brainerd has the athletes if not the coaching to take down anyone if they play right

Upsets:

Rhea will beat Chattanooga Central and McMinn will beat Brainerd. That will make every team in the tourney a District 5 team. Chatt. Central and Brainerd are both overrated and Rhea is a solid team. McMinn is just to powerful for Brainerd to beat.

 

Best Players:

Thats easy..

 

Cleveland: Trey Sharpe, Charles Little, Jay Davis, and Tim Cooper.

 

Bradley: Justin Hare, Kellan Pickel, Wes Suiter, and Cori Pugh.

 

Rhea County: Josh Smith, Zack Hyatte, and James Garmony.

 

McMinn County: JaJaun Smith, JaJaun Smith, JaJaun Smith. And the big guy.

 

Brainerd: Cedric Doizer, Victor Taylor, Reggie Jackson, James Gladden.

 

Chattanooga Central: Ryan Marrimen, Matt Wilhoite, and Jared Munson.

 

Ooltewah: Ced Ellison, Sherman Moton and Micheal Newsome.

 

Soddy Daisy: Lance Sexton, Bobby Smith, and Blake Nida.

 

All Region Team: Trey Sharpe, Justin Hare, Kellan Pickel, Wes Suiter, Charles Little, Tim Cooper, Trey Sharpe, Zack Hyatte, Josh Smith, JaJaun Smith and McMinns big guy.

 

From what i have heard the All Region team will consist of 4 from the Championship team, 3 from Runner Up, and 2 from the teams that make it to the Semi.

 

Region Champions:

 

Once again...Bradley-Cleveland IV. I think once again as well, Bradley comes out on top. They are to sound for Cleveland to beat. Cleveland would rather dunk the ball a whole lot than win a game i think. I mean the first game at Cleveland they were up 2 with little time remaining and tried to throw the oop to Charles which was stolen and scored on the other end for a tie game. I think they will both end up in the State Tourney though and who knows...Bradley-Cleveland FIVE??

Morristown East over Science Hill in the 1st round Tue night, in Johnson City. How bout that for an upset!!???

Hilltoppers are still smarting over the loss to Kingsport, and they will not even be thinking about this game, but that will be a mistake.
