Briarcrest will have a few players next year that could go to the next level.

Andrew McKay is a tailback that will certainly do something spectacular next year, he is unbelievably quick and fast.

Barret Day is a tackle that doesnt feel pain and loves to dish it.

Mike Orr is a 6'5 350 lber who is going to be hard to stop, and hard to get by.

Everyone was talking about Jason Hoath at Spring Hill High School this past season, but the best may be yet to come out of there. Area coaches say they have three legitimate D-I prospects in next year's Senior class and another one in the junior class.

Does anyone know what positions they play?

Cassen Jackson is a super TB and is going to be reruited heavy this next year. He was the only junior TB to make All-Region. He was one of the top three backs in the state going into the final game of the season. I had the oppotunity to speak with Cassen the other week at UT's strength and conditioning camp, he gets letters everyday and has already made several visits to SEC and Big 12 schools. Just watch and see.

Making all region isnt that big of a deal, but still a great honor. How do you know he was a top 3 back? Do you know some recruiting guys that the rest of us dont? I saw the kid play against maryville and he wasnt too impressive to me. Maybe he shy's away from the big game or maybe he had an off night? Letters are nice, but until you get a hand written letter or a phone call from the head coach, they mean nothing. What schools has he visited from the SEC and Big 12??? That's the bad thing about recruiting, big time schools send out the same letter to every prospect and keep them hanging on, thinking they are going to get a full ride and everything else. They keep kids from visiting other smaller schools and making decisions on what college to attend by being "led on" in a sense.

    • Never in my life have I seen a team in a scrimmage against their own defense look so lost and confused. The defense didn’t look much better, the coaching staff can’t keep their anger together, not only with the players but also with their other coaches. I feel awful for those players. None of them look like they wanted or should’ve been out there, but for the grown men on the sidelines acting like fools, it's just embarrassing to the Farragut name and reputation. I now see why they chose not to live stream this on their YouTube channel.
    • We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.
    • I like the Pirates chances. I’ll be there as soon as work allows.
    • Stars, I heard we were searching far and wide for some math teachers. Any chance their kids bench press or 40 times are getting checked? LOL I’ve heard good things from 825.
    • I think it was expected. “Bad” luck I guess to get a couple difference maker QBs in the same class. I thought the decision was made a little early myself, but they were struggling offensively last year.  I assume the running quarterback alco had last year would be a senior this fall, and the transfer would start the following two years in addition to getting a ton of playing time this year. Maybe he waits two yrs, but I doubt it. The kid is good. So is the one who stayed.
