folks I really appreciate the updates, although it looks like my team came out on the short end of the stick. Sounds like it was an incredible game, though. Oh well, the team is young and barring Smith's decision on whether to stay they'll be back next year...

Once again, thanks for the updates.

For what's its worth, my father coached Tyler Smith's dad, Billy Smith (an all mid-stater himself) in the late 70's and we lost to Memphis Manassas by one point in the state tournament. Billy threw in a half court shot that the refs didn't count that year...I would like to think of this as vindication! Really proud of my alma mater and my former Coach Billy Holt! Great job Cats, see you at the state tournament!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW! That one word sums up this game. I have never seen two teams so evenly matched do battle and a battle it was. To Bolivar: Hold your heads high, you guys played one heck of a game, but GC had lady luck on our side. TO ALL YA'LL GC HATERS, YOU DON'T EVEN MATTER. WEST TN GODS, BOW TO GILES COUNTY. We deserve it...we earned it. We goin' to the 'BOROR'.

    • You wanna talk about zoned for Bearden.  Lol.  I don't think so.  But my point was who can blame a kid for not wanting to be in a private school.  Nobody is zoned for a private school, it's a free country right?
    • Great win for the Pirates. State Tourney bound !
    • You're talking about the running back, right? I don’t believe he was zoned for west, but there were numerous players that came from TKA a few years ago and still are. I’m sure some are, but the majority aren’t.
    • Gratitude abounds for Blake Satterfield, whose five-year tenure as the head coach and exemplary ambassador for Trousdale County and its educational system has left an indelible mark. His strategic leadership during playoff seasons was nothing short of remarkable. Anticipating that his future endeavors will be equally impressive.  Perhaps the board members will refrain from undermining the incoming coach as they did in Blake's case.
    • Yeah that's true, I was talking more about football.  If you go to a TKA game, there's nobody there.  The only people there are the parents of cheer and parents of players.    The kid that left and came to West was zoned for West and decided to quit private and go public school.  He won two state championships at West, so hard to blame him there.
