What does Riverdale have???

I have heard things about RHS but I don't know if they are right! What do you all know about Riverdale??? What are their big GUNS?!? THANKS :confused:

they have guys who do their job effectively and win as a team... it's not just one guy who wins it for them... they play hard and as a team and thats why they are still undefeated ... My Hat is off to this group of guys and their coaching staff... they are the best i've seen in a while.

Riverdale is the real deal. Best high school team I've seen play in Tennessee, in quite some time. We spent spring break in Florida playing some very good teams in mid-season form (some nationally ranked). They've got nothing on Riverdale. I expect Riverdale to be in Memphis in May, and they just might win it all.

In the 8th Annual Warrior Spring Classic, Riverdale won it for the second time with a 6-3 win over Beech at M.T.S.U. Some notes of interest during the six wins in the tournament were:

 

Senior Second baseman Wayne Kendrick hit .429 (9-21), scored 9 runs, had 11 assists, 9 put outs, and had one double play on defense. Senior First Baseman/Pitcher Justin Humphrey hit .500 (7-14), with 1HR, 8RBI and 6BB. Junior Third Baseman/Pitcher Clint Alexander hit.500 (8-16) with 1HR, 8RBI, 4BB, had 2 saves on the hill and hit safely in all 6 games. Senior Pitcher Casey Fones had 2 saves, pitching to 16 batters and striking out 8 in 3 2/3 innings. Junior Catcher Alex Watson hit .375 (6-16), with 1 HR, 4 RBI, 6 BB, 9 runs scored, with 13 put outs and 4 assists on defense The team batting average for tournament was .354 with 30 BB and 17 Ks. Their opponents hit .212 with 14 BB and 36 Ks. The team ERA for the tournament was 1.14.

 

Pitchers Will Underland (Sophomore), Fones and Kyle Smith (Senior, Western Kentucky signee) did not give up an earned run. Winning pitchers were Underland, Jason Lenard (Jr. First Career win in championship game, allowing 1 run in six innings on 3 hits), Smith, Justin Jones (Sophomore), Humphrey, and Josh Markham (Senior, David Lipscomb signee), with Underland and Humphrey throwing complete games. Markham struck out looking in his historic first at bat as a Warrior.
