As of this weekend they had not even began to interview. It kind of makes one wonder what is important to FHS. Everyone must be concentrating on the Gateway testing,eh?

I was told last night by a source close to the situation that they are still taking applications until the end of April. They are going to put the new coach WAY behind in preparation. Big Poppa, keep in touch, I haven't forgotten your plight.

I heard that they will start interviewing next week-- i also heard several coaches have applied. Go rebs!!!!

They are taking their time. I heard that Steve Shipley from Centennial has applied. I know his teams at Oak Ridge and Dobyns Bennett were always in the state tournament. Any ideas of anyone else in Williamson County who has applied?

Only thing I've heard is something about the Assistant Coach from Centennial Boys team applied. I THINK applications were taken until the 1st Friday in April and then start interviewing... who knows--- GO REBELS

Two things bother me: #1 They are taking so long to begin a search and decision - this is going to delay the new coach in meeting and selecting his team and #2 The lack of interest on this post indicates a lack of concern about the basketball position and who fills it.

well sas- if it makes you feel better, i'm VERY concerned because not only do I have VERY GOOD FRIENDS on the team, I go to school at Franklin and I have been watching it for 7 years, or more... They do need to put something together though because the guys are gonna get behind on spring practice!

I hope the lack of interest from this thread is because everyone knows that Jay Johnson will get the job when everything is said and done. He is definitely the poster boy for Franklin Basketball.....................
