Lexington SS Seth Stanfill returned to the Tiger line-up and led off the game by slapping the first pitch off the left-centerfield wall as Lexington scored four runs in the first inning and then held off Milan 6-4 this afternoon in Milan. With the win, the Tigers ( 19-5-1; 7-0) clinched the top seed for the upcoming District 11AA tournament to be held at Milan. After Milan had cut the lead to 4-3, RF Dustin Page homered over the centerfield wall to extend the Tiger's lead. Landon Wood got the win going 6 1/3 innings only giving up one earned run. Sophomore Ty Evans relieved Wood and retired the final two batters. Lexington opens play in the 96.5 Classic on Wednesday taking on Harriman at 1:30 and Adamsville at 3:30.

Lexington has a very good team, so does milan, i got to stop

by and see this game, it was an exciting game to watch.

My understanding is a kid from milan got hurt in batting

practice that they say is as good a infielder as you will

see. Who is he, i think i heard he was just a sophomore.

Should be fun to watch him play over the next few years.

Is he ok, What did he do?

My prediction, Lexington vs. Milan in the finals. good luck

The guy that got hurt chipped a bone in his hand and it did some pretty bad stuff to it. He had to have surgery Thursday morning to have a screw put in it to hold it in place. His name is Brennen Ward and he is a very good infielder....he will be a strong player within the next couple of years.
