I don't know, but if they kept the books like they did against us, HF will have as many hits as runners that reached base. coachd
Hume Fogg scored in the bottom of the 7th inning. Two walks in the inning and an error made the bases loaded with 2 outs. Megan gave up the only hit of the day to left field by Martinez. Got to give Hume Fogg a lot of credit. They wanted the game very badly. Martinez pitched extremely well. Lipscomb played hard, but could never get the big hit with runners in scoring position. This puts Greenbrier in the district lead with one loss. I see a dogfight coming in the district tournamnent. Congratulations Coach Conditt

Antwan
Posted by FairBall:Antwan, Please explain your comments regarding Hume Fogg Books? Let me look at our book, and I will post later. HF had no more than 4 hits. HF turned in 8 hits to the Tennessean. Only 2 balls were hit out of the infield. SC made 3 infield errors in the 3rd when HF scored 3 runs on 1 hit. Ultimately, the only stat that matters is the score. HF scored in the 7th when they needed to.

Congratulations Coach Conditt About 5 extremely good teams in our region are going to be at home when the regional final comes. Lipscomb, Hume-Fogg, Greenbrier, Macon, Smith, Dekalb, and York are very good teams. There's only room for 2 in the substate. CoachB22
Antwan, I was very impressed with the Smith Co. team we played on Wed. I think playing a solid, quality team helped us prep for Lipscomb. Your pitcher, Morris, really brings the heat and her teammates played solid defense behind her. I'm sure Ms. Morris struggled with that ever changing strike zone just as we did. As to the number of hits or the book.....I suspect there was a typo on the part of the Tennessean or some other mis-communication. Mr. Hill (our book guru) and more importantly Coach Conditt have been pretty frugal in awarding hits this spring. I don't think I saw 8 in that game either but I've never been good a deciding hit vs. error (I'm too generous :>) Good luck to the Smith Co. girls on the rest of their season. Maybe we will meet again down the road. Coach B

Good luck to you the rest of the season, too.
