As of today the new Team Pride roster consist of Clark, Bagsby, Gibson, Brown, Mooney, O'Connell, Longhurst, Chenger and Lytle. I think they will do well in state, although the competition will be tough.

I'm confused. There are two different rosters posted for Team Pride. Lightning left off the Almader and Ross girls on that roster. Which one is correct?

I accidently left off Almader. She is still out with an ACL, but is still coming to practice and traveling with th e team. She has made terrific progress and should be ready for nationals if they make it. The Ross twins are no longer with the team. Sorry, but this is the correct info.

My prediction for the 15U East is:

 

Trotters beat the Stars East

Xtreme beat the Xtreme Red (Poor planning by Sub officials)

Xtreme beat the Trotters

Xtreme beat the Shooting Stars

What do you mean poor planning on the officials? Are the officials already told who to let win the games?

teams in every sub-state seed the top four teams from the previous year based on their finish (ie: the top four in 13/u in 2002 were seeded 1-4 in 14/u in 2003 if they all returned)

 

the rest being placed in the brackets by blind draw with the only exception being clubs with more than one team are placed in opposite end of the bracket.

 

clubs entering more than one team should know that there is a possibility of the two meeting somewhere (even in the championship of the winners' bracket..guess that would be poor planning too)

 

when you are in the losers' bracket you just have to go where you go and play who you have to...

 

there is no control over that...these brackets are consistent throughout the state and come from AAU nationals

I went back and reviewed the brackets to see what I may have done differently. You are right, given the teams that you had and the necessary seeding, the only way you could have avoided the X vs. X-Red is if X-Red had lost their first game, or if X had won their first game.

 

We thought the tournament was run well and the girls had a lot of fun. I especially like the chairs in the stands with a back!

I saw this team play this past weekend and was very impressed. Coach Woosley does a GREAT job. It seems the team is now down to nine players. The Ross twins weren't major contributors. This team will be fun to watch the rest of the summer.

I have seen posts that the Ross twins are no longer on Team Pride. You know, unless Team Pride goes to another tournament where the twins are not with the team, all of this talk is mere speculation. The kind of talk that could only hurt the feelings of two very nice 15 year old girls. Please everyone, if you have nothing uplifting and positive to post, please do not post at all!

 

I do appreciate your kind words about Tiffany and Team Pride. But to say that the Ross twins were not major contributors is just false. Obviously, I have watched every game and while the twins may not have started, they certainly did contribute in a major, not minor, way.
