skipper66
The trip to Oneida is so long and winding the teams are tired and cramped from riding. The tournament is in Oneida this week and that will be worth a half-goal. Good luck to all.
lcsoccer
It is a rough trek to Oneida, but I guess they are deserving of home field advantage in the district tournament. The bus ride is a long one, but they do have nice facilities. (i.e. locker rooms, bermuda field, etc.)
pennyplay6254
hey guys, i'm from the scott county area, used to play there, these kids have to take that trek every time they go anywhere, remember that
kazam37
If the Indians play well, maybe they will start calling it - the winding road of sorrows or how about - the trail of tears! lol!
AJ10Socr
Oneida definetly uses their field to their advantage. They actually use it as a tool. My senior year we had a very good passing/possession oriented team. Well Oneida knew this. They failed to mow the field(on purpose I think). I promise you the grass was up over the ankles easily. Very thick and slow rolling grass. This limited our ablily to control passing and dribbling and the flow of the game, forceing us to play a lot more "kick ball". They used this tactic to force a Tie game with us. So yeah their field and the drive up there is the 12th man. It was a smart tactic i guess but a dirty one too. It was one of the most unfair playing surfaces Id ever played on. Edited May 6, 2003 by AJ10Socr
David
Where exactly is this Oneida place anyway?
badcall13
I dont know what all this is about, oneida only has one more home game then there ether done or they go on the road to Lenoir City. Then they get to show us if they can win on the road or if they need there 12th man. Kind of silly to count on the drive to help you win a game. offside
Hey badcall13 - Oneida has only one more home game in District play. Whoever wins the District championship game (could be the Indians) can have three more home games next week before going to Memphis. bad call.
