long and very well played game from both teams. 2-1. bearden goes up first and then puts in the second a little later. held off farragut most of the rest of the game, josh elam saved a pk from ian backstrom in the final 2 minutes then after about 15 seconds of shot after shot from farragut it goes in and the final whistle was blown.

BHS Defense , Why are you asking Fans and players from Farragut to blame the loss on the rain?? Looking for an argument??? I didn't see One Gloat or brag come from the Farragut Team after they beat you TWICE , now you challenge them?? Give me a break, That is why all of us over here can't wait to watch you at state, if you get lucky you may meet Farragut in the final!! Due to watching our games over here we couldn't be at your game this time, but thanks for reminding us why we hate Beardens arrogance!! Farragut must have had a down game , ha! there's your excuse!!!!!!!!!!!! :P:D:):D

Dont worry gameball, you should have expected the Bearden fans to come out and be obnoxious when they finally had something to get hyped up about. They quieted down after both of their previous losses and even though the Farragut crowd handled it with class, Mr. bhsdefense still opened his mouth with an arogant comment. It was a good game, one which was decided by the players, not the rain, and I havent seen anyone making excuses. Lets hope these two teams can meet in the state finals so that this match up can be put to rest for the year, and hopefully in a classy way. Good luck to both Bearden and Farragut in making it to the state finals, but dont look too far ahead with teams like Brentwood and Hendersonville running around.

waiting for some farragut players or fans to come out and blame the loss on the rain

bhsdefense, what kind of classless comment is that? About what one would expect from a Bearden fan/player, I guess. It was 2-0 when the rain started, so why would an FHS fan blame the rain? Funny how you guys talk about it being a "well-played game" when you win but blame the refs or your poor defense when you lose. Personally, I thought the first two were well-played and the Farragut goals were due to their good offense, not the refs or your poor defense. Bearden played well last night; Farragut didn't, thus the result. Game 4 still a possibility...

    • Congratulations to Huntingdon and Station Camp. Lots of good softball in Tennessee. Alcoa been media favorite last two seasons.
    • Im more of a Basketball follower than football and like I said we play what we have, there is no going and recruiting or even talking kids into transferring…..and to rebut about Memphis teams in finals I’ve watched Memphis East and Penny Hardaway with the enrollment of a single A team play up and dominate any and all challengers for years! They aren’t the only ones either Mike Miller and son at Germantown put together that super team a couple years ago that ran through the rest of the state! Other teams from Memphis or Chatt or Nash or any large populated area pop up and are relevant out of nowhere every year because they get an influx of talent be it from a new coach or AAU affiliations it happens in football also just like any other sport! I hope these two schools that close join together and get to play the team you support, then you may see it differently! I find it funny some of you think recruiting and resources don’t matter . The county schools get very little funding also but you don’t want to get me started on that part!
    • No doubt. ORC a good dude.
    • In a total classless move, Coach Simmons once again shows his true colors. Waits till the day after school is out to let everyone know he is leaving. Fails up to a community college job after a lackluster 2 year span at GH. And do not tell me about the state run that saved a sub .500 season and plenty of whippings by Cookeville and Lebanon.  Looks like the girls job at GH is cursed. Terrible MS program/coaches feeding what is turning out to be a joke of a HS team.
