Predictions for next year

What schools will return strong teams next year. Don't just put down a team because you're on it but give a good reason.

Science hill have a lot of people returning, but it could be one more year for them before they are at their best.

DB lose their 3 best players this year and cant really see anybody there good enough to step up.

So no real threat from the NE end of the state

From what I've seen, Farragut should be fairly strong and both Science Hill and Oak Ridge return the bulk of their teams. It will be interesting to see what Turner can do with Bearden. They still have some strong players returning but they lose a lot at all positions (forward, mid, defense) except keeper.

i know brentwood started 8 seniors and had a few more that played off the bench. but with brentwood they have so much talent in the program they might not miss a beat. i think franklin only loses 1 starter. they could be the best in the midstate next year. does anyone know what hendersonville loses?

Both Farragut and Oak Ridge will have good teams next year. Expect these two sides to go far.

Columbia Central will only lose three starters. Their replacements are above average players so they should be very strong next year. Columbia will definitely need to improve their offense though. Their defense is real strong. Next years squad will probably start 7 seniors, 3 juniors and 1 sophomore.

Knoxville Catholic returns 10 out of their 11 starters for next year. Their top 2 leading goal scorers return, along with an experienced defense and goal keeper. They should be a contender in D2.

Good point AusDan. KCHS should be a contender. They really turned their season around this year and made a return trip to the state tournament. You guys will be a force to reckon with

Oak Ridge will be one of the top teams to beat next year.. they return everyone and have one of the best players in the state with Matt blair.. Farragut will also be good because of Aaron, and if Bearden finds a goalie they will have a solid defense.

I agree about Matt Blair. He may be the best "all-around" player in the State right now.

Bearden already has a keeper. Josh Elam is one of the best in the state and he'll be back next year.

Expect Lenoir City to surprise some people next year. Everyone said they wouldn't do much this year but look what they accomplished. I think they could have a successful season if they have some people step up.
