tnhssports
I heard several of Coach Bobby Sharp's assistants (at least 3) were accepting administrative positions in Lewis County and were no longer going to coach football. Where does this leave the team in 2003 and will this hurt the Panther's in any way?
lbblitz
This is true, three coaches have hung it up. Talk has it that a former coach will be returning to take a position coach.Haven't heard who will take the other positions,But, As for the team, I hear this is probably the strongest team ever.IT'S JUST AROUND THE CORNER, AND I CAN'T WAIT. MrHonesty
Lewis County does traditionally have a strong football team and this year appears to be no different. Coach Sharp has lost several coaches but they will be replaced. Some names I have heard mentioned as coming back to Panther Stadium is former LCHS coaching great Mike Pack (who led the Panthers to the District 10-A Region 5-A Championship in 1980 and a perfect 11-0 record before losing to Goodpasture in the playoffs), Adam Clark (former All District lineman who is currently coaching in West Tennessee), and Wesley Duncan (All District former Panther who played collegiately in Arkansas and is currently coaching in Nashville). If anyone has any information on the coaching vacancies or these individuals please let us know. I can't wait for the season opener. Good luck Panthers!! LCpanthers90
I heard that Coach Duncan is no longer with the coaching staff, if this is so than i am probably done playin football since he is the one who got me to play in the first place, but i will always be a fan, Go Panthers!!!! goldenboy
I talked to a player a few hours ago and this is what he told me. He said that coaches Moorehead, Watkins, Hill and Duncan were not going to be coaching anymore. He said that the Pack guy was going to coach though. Don't quit just because Duncan won't be there man. You'll have just as much fun anyway. And you have 95 next to your name, that's not a quitters number. Be tough man, stay in there.
LCpanthers90
I know, but i dont think i can turn back now, i havent been to enough work outs, but thats ok, I will always be a fan. I will just play Baseball.
goldenboy
They'll let you make the workouts up man. It happens every year. I have two friends that both quit after their freshman year and every time I talk about football to them all they say is I wish I wouldn't of quit. Stay in there man. waj
I heard they were after former panther and present defensive coordinator at Trousdale Co. -Kevin Creasey Anyone heard??
6D
Just a rumor about Coach Creasey. I think all the coaching positions are field at this time.
bigbluefan69
Nobody need to quit football b/c of their coach leaving. Only excuse would be that you dont get to play or your too small. Which you should't be small b/c you have a lineman number. Never quit b/c of somebody else. If the coach got you to play he must of got you to play for a good reason. LCHS2003
Heaven help us if any Creasy is ever coaching in Lewis County. Are any of the other coaches mentioned above coming on the staff for next year?, and How are the guys looking so far this summer?
