Ultimatefan
Hey fellas. The field looks great, roots in the ground and seams growing together. I was on it last Sat. and pulled on it, and you could feel it holding to the ground. They were supposed to fill in some of the bigger spaces between rows. Bermuda only needs a week or so down, to start a root system. The first 3 games are at home, hopefully it won't rain, that's my only concern. You wonder who the brain was that didn't sod this in the spring, to begin with. Especially when they knew they were way behind on the sprigs. Could have saved some money. The seniors did have a mtg, and yes it's past time for all of them to take over this team. Leaders need to start leading. They have scrimmaged some tough teams, so they need to keep that in mind. Some of the seniors need to step up on D, or they may be watching from the sidelines. Coach has said he will go to the younger guys, if the upperclass doesn't cut it. There will be more and more going 2 ways it looks like. Put the athletes on the field. Edited August 21, 2003 by Ultimatefan
CSense
"Put the athletes on the field." Best thing I've heard yet. You can't go wrong with the best 11 out there.

pounderpop
why is Barber not going in the jamboree against SD. Is he hurt or are they just being careful?
MikeBleedsBlue
Barber is playing tomorrow, I don't know where you heard he wasn't.
utatch
Has Cleveland played in a jamboree already?
MikeBleedsBlue
Yes they have in the 4-4a jamboree last week. They didn't show anything at all as they were just running their base plays and trying not to get anyone hurt.
pounderpop
Mike, check a few posts back, baseballerfb asked how Cleveland would do "Barber-less", just wondered if he had some info I hadn't heard about.
