chris humes from mt. juliet is a great rummimgback. i know its hard to hear about him since mj has struggled the last 2 seasons but they may be a lot better this year with humes coming back for his sr. year.

ryan gunter and david england of wartburg are very strong runningbacks.

McCord from Maryville is a heck of a back, he had over 1,000 yards rushing behind Carl Stewart, thats really impressive. I also think Cassen Jackson from Knox Central is a very talented running back.

porter and bell, the self proclaimed "primetime and showtime" arent' the best backs in west tn, not even in their region. They are fast but they couldn't break tackle to save their lives. Unless Huntingdon changes their offense, only thing other teams have to do is watch the Fairview tape from last year and they will see how to shut them down. cook from mckenzie is probably the best running back in the region, boy has tons of heart and will not stop running to save his life. i believe davis from marshall co. will be something special this year, the kid can fly and put a pounding on you.

i would have to say barber of cleveland as the best back. ive seen him play and hes a man child. hate to see what he might do against my boys from Soddy. i wish them all the luck. later

When your talking about the best backs around Knoxville you have to take the tandem from Sevier Co. into consideration. Jeremy Parton runs around a 4.6 and has about as much finesse as Scooter Houston, and Justin Sutton will straight up run you over, but they will really have to produce this year cause they don't have a QB. Jeremy Parton broke the school record for the longest rush from the line of scimmage against Science Hill...94 yds.
