OK seeing that i atteneded both schools graduating from Ezell i can tell you MBA is a much better team this year and would beat Ezell easily in a real game, but we dont have to play MBA. We got more out of the scrimmage than MBA did thats for sure and i think its shame that people have to get so irrate over a scrimmage.

BTW tho a touchdown is a touchdown whether its 90 yard pass or 1 yard run it all counts the same.

For the MBA players who participated in the silly arguing in this thread...

I know all of you, and as a long time MBA parent and fan I am embarrassed for you. What in the world are you thinking about? Act like you understand and appreciate the tradition of Big Red football. Big Red players let their performance on the field do the talking period. This kind of garbage is in direct opposition to what you should be about, and you know it.

I think MBA do get useful practice out of scrimmaging CPA and Ezell since they get to face two squads who may not have a huge number of athletes but do have two talented coaches. It is not always the outcome of the play that is important in a scrimmage, it is the exposure to many different plays and how you learn from them.

Oh Online im not sayin they didnt get anything out of it, but im sure Ezell got more with more new starters and the higher level of play you know what i mena i think.

Yes I agree Chakra,

every year we usually scrimmage MBA and Oakland and it is great preparation as you hit big squads and talented squads. We especially need it this year with Riverdale being on our schedule.

We scrimmaged Stratford twice this year under the new coach there and I am really impressed by him. It was downright ugly for CPA the first time with miscues etc etc, it was a lot better the second time round. I really like scrimmages because all the kinks still exist and you see improvements as a result.

You have to remember that a majority of the people on this sight are teenagers. The competion gets a little heated sometimes, but I'm not so sure that's always a bad thing. I love it when a person is passionate about their team.

Ezell coaches are proud of their team for the way they have practiced the last two days. I know Coach Smith, Howell, Felts, and Stinson are winners, and they refuse to let their kids off the hook. Everyday is a chance to make yourself better. And our guys found out the other day that they have to work harder on the practice field if they want to be playing in December.

Felts has been killing his DB's. He told me last night that his Seniors are finally learning how to be lead by example. In his seven years of coaching I've never seen him as upset, and humbled, as he was the other night. But as I said before, these guys don't know what the word quit means.

Thanks to all those associated with the MBA program. We enjoyed the experience and atmosphere at your school! Good luck this season.

    • Wow I haven't been keeping up with softball had no idea.Been keeping up with baseball and we are slowly fading there.I will check it out!!Thx
    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
