I think Walker Valley both girls and boy have a good chance at winning at district and regions to go to state. We've got two really good guys shootingan average 73-76 and girls in the 80's.

We have a solid Golf Team at Carter. Our boys are very young, our leading man in the first meet was a Freshman that shot 69, and the rest are mainly Juniors with a couple of seniors.

 

We do have two ladies that do a good job also.

Carter is located in the Eastern Most part of Knox County in the Tri-County Area (Knox-Jefferson-Sevier). Strawberry Plains is the City!

Our Girls are in the 10th grade I believe. In their first match they teed off against Knoxville West and Knoxville Catholic, they competed well falling to west by 2 strokes and Catholic by 4. They should shoot again Monday at Three Ridges against Lenoir City and Karns (Weather Pending)

alcoa is a good team. they have a good senior golfer named brett mayes who is a definite college prospect. also, tyler bowen, ethan dwyer, and justin drake are excellent golfers. they will have some definite contenders for individual state.

Goob, I saw CAK & Fulton play against us at River Islands yesterday and CAK has 3 really solid golfers. Fulton has one solid golfer along with a promising looking golfer. I think the one excellent golfer for Fulton was Davis, and the other was Turner. Both shot well. Sorry don't know much about the CAK golfers (Names & Such). We shot Cate, Bell in the #1 & #2 spots yesterday.

Don't forget about Hixson. They won the region and district last year and finished fourth in the state. On top of that they didnt lose a single person. Their top 5 are all back and playing better than last year. Next year they will only lose 1 senior(the five man), but they are getting 2 outstanding freshman, the brothers of the 2 and 3 man. They are also getting the only graduates brother who will also fight for a top 6 spot. They are going to have a very strong 1-5 player and a solid six and seven man. They will only be even better next year so watch out.

The Hixson Wildcats are back and better than ever. In the last two or three matches, either the 1, 2, or 3 man has been under par while the other two are right around even. You just better hope these three dont peak all at once in the post-season, because scores could be really low.
