Apology from Wildcatfan to Page

There are times in every man's life when he has made mistakes. The traits that separate men from boys include being able to face a mistake head on and admit fault and being able to apologize for his mistake.

I relied on a very reliable source for my information about the game, but I failed to confirm the whole story through the man who I felt was wronged: Tim Moore. Let me first say he called me this morning and cleared up a few points for me. There was A)no signed contract and B)no nasty telephone call. At the time that I made my post, I believed the story to be 100% true, so I stand by my comments and I admit now that they were incorrect. Everyone speaks without thinking at some point- this was 'some point.'

Tim Moore had nothing to do with this and told me today that he still considers his relationship with Page strong, also stating that he wanted to keep it that way. Moore had nothing to do with the entire situation on this board. I was simply acting a BGA alumnus- and an angry one at that.

It takes a man to admit fault and apologize, and it takes even more of a man to acccept an aplogy and forgive.

In closing, I would like a plain statement, not hidden behind excuses...I apologize for comments about Page because they were not truthful. Hopefully the Page nation can accept my apology and forgive so that we can all move on to better things.

Sincerely,

Wildcatfan

I think it is very good of you to come on here and face the music. I will issue some constructive criticism, however - take it or leave it. I am fairly certain that you want to have a broadcasting/media career and that's great. But just like anyone else in the "spotlight" (players, coaches, talk show hosts, writers, etc) you HAVE to know that your comments are amplified and are held up to a certain standard of interpretation and that IF you identity is known on a message board (which in this case it is) you are fair game for people to scrutinize the heck out of you.

I have heard your work and you do have a future but I do think it is time to give "wildcatfan" a break and either come up with a new identity or just flat quit posting and just "lurk" on the board. I dare say you don't see Mike Keith or Plaster posting on here about their high school alma maters (and if they do post not many people know about it and they do a pretty good job of hiding it). Being a BGA fan and alum is one thing - yes, you have the "right" to post on any freakin board you want- but you don't want to lose credibility if you want to make the next step - and in all honesty you have - you work for the University of Tennessee now it appears.

So let Moore and BGA fight their own battles - they're big boys and you are officially gone from there...and you keep doing the work you're doing as you work your way up the ladder. Just my 2 cents. Good luck.

Takes lots of guts to come on here and confess to being wrong. You proved you are what a real man should be. Thanks for the apology and of course no hard feelings. This just further proves in my mind that Coach Moore is a class act to take the time to help solve this little discussion. Good Luck BGA.
