i have watched them play and was not impressed. tough schedule, they will be lucky to be 5-5 and the end of the year

Macon Co. is a better team than played last night. Westmoreland is a improved team from last year. Westmoreland's defense was solid and their QB keep them in the game. The Eagles should have a good year. The more playing time Macon's QB gets the better they will be. Macon's D is tough, linebackers will knock your head off.

I didn't see them as that impressive. They were pretty solid. If you take away that long run by Hudson, then I'll bet they didn't have 100 yards of offense last night. Westmoreland had the ball most of the time. Their defensive front was not as good as I expected, though their linebackers do a good job. And their secondary does a good job with run support too. I see them finishing 6-4. I'm not sure they'll beat Smith County or Trousdale County (unless those two teams are down even more than I had anticipated). I don't really think they'll beat LA, and Portland will win that region. Good luck to the Tigers though. That program continues to progress. It just shows how good of a job Coach Dyer and his staff have done with those kids. I just don't think they're ever going to be as solid as Portland, and they'll never have the athletes of a Trousdale County. Smith County is awfully well coached, so I'm not sure Macon County will ever be able to compete with the mighty Owls either. But they will work hard as long as Dyer is there, and they will be competitive with many of those schools. Don't overlook them.

How many seniors does Macon County have this year? Are they young?

I must have watch a different game than you did, i thought Macon had several completed passes for long yardage. Hudson also had about 4 long runs of which 2 was called backed.

    • Gleason all over west Carroll in scrimmage. Gleason is big and fast
    • Defending 2A state Champs Westview Lady Chargers are pretty tough. They lost a bunch of production off last year's squad but returned some talent as well. They still McCall Simms, a Tennesseee Lady Vol softball commit as well as solid talent around the diamond. I dont think they are as good as last season but they will definitely be a tough out. Huntingdon Lady Mustangs seem to be pretty stout as well. Don't know much about Riverside other than Westview defeated them earlier in regions. West Tennessee softball is pretty solid all around id say.
    • Eagleville couldn’t catch up to Jones, he did have his location issues but in that game Eagleville popped up everything and the one hit they did have could have been ruled an error. Jeffcoat was a lot sharper in the beginning of the season last year than the end. ER ran out of pitching and still was in striking distance but none the less the better team one. Last seasons tournament was A LOT more balanced and talented. South Pitts starter is a Lefty who was low 80’s but couldn’t maintain his velo throughout the  outing, their #2 was more impressive last year, we knocked him around this year and his mph was down some. Their #3 isn’t bad neither, throws a lot of strikes and sits high 70’s.
    • He actually had a really solid spring.  I could see him getting some backup snaps on offense and be a regular on special teams.  Really athletic kid who can run.
