I agree it helps a player to realize that sometimes no matter ho hard you try things might not work out. I love football with all my heart. I am a senior this year and i hate every loss that i get. It is hard to deal with knowing this is it i might never play football after the next 6 games but it also makes me push my self to be better and make importiant plays. I honestly think that any one who sticks with football all year, all the running, wins, losses it really changes a persons life. I think that it even can make a persons attitude better.

While I agree that in the long run high school football is about developing player's potential off the field, in the short term it is about those wins and losses. When friday nights come, you're not thinking about how that game is going to shapen your everyday life, you are thinking about beating your opponent in the ground.

Football is a sport, and in sports you try to win. If you aren't giving 100%, you shouldn't be out there.

You seem as if football is Wins vs. Losses, well that is not the way it should be. Football is a preparation for the future and how to deal with problems. Yes, we strive to win every moment on the field, but you have to know how to win or treat a defeat. That is how to coach, I am a Kentucky Football fan and I do not complain when we lose but I find positives in all losses. That is how I coach, to every negative there is a positive. To coach like this is to maybe have an ego but it is confidence that I will work hard to succeed. That is what football taught me, and by the way, when I played we were 4-26 in three years in 5-5A. I am a teacher now and those three years made me the coach I am today. How do you all feel about the game?

Who are you addressing?

    • I am inclined to wager a substantial portion of my financial assets on the likelihood that Waggoner shall transition to an alternative coaching vocation prior to the year 2028. It is my contention that discerning individuals are beginning to perceive his coaching prowess as lacking in the requisite excellence. Allow me to articulate the following assertion: Waggoner represents a markedly superior choice compared to the individual who perpetrated the act of fuel theft.   This individual exhibits a conspicuous propensity for frequent professional transitions, a trait which undermines his credibility and renders him an untenable choice for serious consideration. It is indeed confounding that his candidacy continues to garner attention and support.
    • Yeah same   It’s definitely true that tough times make tough kids, but some kids just have a big passion for the game and will become the best of the best no matter where they come from.
