Milian is the number 1 team in west tennessee.  And that's including Memphis.  They are solid.

Please...

 

Christian Brothers is 6-0, and their opponents, excluding their losses to CBHS, are 26-3 versus everyone else. These opponents include 4A, 5A, and DII powerhouses.

 

Milan is 5-0, and their opponents, excluding their losses to Milan, are 5-17 versus everyone else. These opponents are mostly 2A teams, and two are winless.

 

With no disrespect intended to Milan faithful, because you do appear to have a good 2A team, in the West, not only is CBHS a better squad, but all of the West TN teams they beat (Melrose, East, Germantown, Briarcrest, and ECS) probably are all better as well.

I'm a non-Memphis west TN guy as most of you know, but I have to agree with rollredroll. You're talking about some quality 4A, 5A, and D-II schools there. I do think a select few west TN teams could play with some of those he listed, but I would be surprised if any of them could hang with CBHS.

 

Maybe we'll see some games like this in the future, such as Covington-Germantown this year. I think it would be good for football in this area.

It will be a tough game, as they all are. MBA leads the series 11-4, but McCallie still has a fine team and program.

 

Oddly, the team that gives MBA the most fits is MUS. MBA has league series records well over .500 against five of the six other DII-AAA schools, but is only 4-4 against MUS. Don't get me wrong, MUS has a great program, but they are one of two teams (Baylor being the other) not to have ever made it to the DII-AAA finals.

Sure, so you're the one who's been holding up the casinoes down there. And I think anyone who actually takes there hard-earned money to the casino is misguided, but that's another issue for another time.

 

So Wes, are you from Milan? And I believe there are teams even outside of Memphis in West Tn who could beat Milan: Jackson Southside, Crockett County, Ripley, Covington, Huntingdon, McKenzie.

Have you lost your mind? None of these teams on here will beat Milan!!!! The closest one will be Milan vs. Huntingdon but they will still win. And the other teams you put on there are just crazy, I mean Crockett County, Ripley it wouldnt even be close so think next time you post!!!!!!

to me, preseason doesn't mean anything. you can be good in preseason and then have a 0-10 record for the season. and if you didnt do so well in preseason, you could have an undefeated record. it's possible. it's all about making progress week by week. my top3 west TN picks are (in no particular order): milan, huntingdon, and jacksonSS

crockett always runs anyways. they arent a pass heavy team. but thats awesome that they are undefeated with him at qb. most freshmen might fumble the snaps and fall under pressure...and he definately hasnt... good luck to the cavs.
