last year lavergne didnt only have grimes. just because u only saw him get the ball that doesnt mean he was the only good athlete or whatever that they had(not taking anything away from grimes tho). last year smyrna had weak coners, and if it were not for a couple of uncharacteristic defensive mistakes lavergne would have won that game. and this year, dont underestimate lavergne's athletic ability. because they do have some good athletes that can make big plays.(#1) just becuase one player from smyrna came to lavergne and started. i know for a fact that if the majority of lavergne's skill players came to smyrna then they would easily.

I don't know what game you watched last year! Smyrna did whatever they wanted last year. Wolke didn't need a highlight tape last year, this one game had a years worth of highlights!

Who's skill position would these players take?

Wolke

Shanon

Johnson

Childs

Orona

Sorry but it isn't going to happen not this year.

I know the players at Lavergne very well they have some good young talent and the future looks better for them but trust me it is not going to happen this year.

Smyrna is a very good football team that lost to 2 top 10 teams by a total of 7 points. Lavergnes wins are suspect against bad teams.

Evreybody talks about Wolke but Smyrna can run the ball!

I will say that Lavergne has some HUGE kids this year. I really admire that Harvey kid that they have playing QB. I think he came from Maryland?? Anyway, they put him in about half time of our game and he has never lost that starting spot. their kids played really hard against us.

About last year's team....their QB , AJ Troupe was a good one and that Crutchfield kid too. Of course Grimes was one of my FAVORITES in our region.

However, I do think that Smyrna will win this one unless they simply overlook the Rhines.

Yep, no looking ahead to Siegel. I am telling you, I think that the OHS/SHS game will be the biggest battle of the year in our region.Hopefully all of our kids will come into it healthy and ready to roll. I hope you put the Whuppin on Lebanon.

    • Hope the catcher on baseball team come back out and play's football . He didn't play last year if I remember but I don't remember much after that wreck anyways.. But he did play his freshman and soph years and I thought was a very good player. He's put on some size now, so I'm hoping he's thinking about playing again..
    • Pirates are young this year.  Gordy can sleep on them.
    • They’ll get it worked out eventually.Farragut is too good of a program to be down for long. As an OR fan, I can’t really say I’m too distraught about it though.
    • I didn’t even see that until you said something, but I don’t think it’s that bad. Yes, the coaches can’t get along with each other. But I don’t think they’re openly taking shots at each other right in front of the parents. If they are, that’s pitiful though, that’s really pitiful. I sure hope they’re not, but yeah, I’ve heard the same thing from players over at Farragut getting fed up, and I feel as though what the coaching staff has been trying to keep under the prying eyes of the parents is now out on full display.
    • and there is definitely a reason for that—more than just Catholic recruiting.
