Volunteer has a few good kids coming up to the varsity level next fall. Bill Begley (TE,DE) 6'3 240 and is still growing. He had at least 50 tackles and 10 sacks at DE for the freshmen. He also caught several TDs and was the leading receiver for the freshmen. Not including the things he did for the JV and Varsity. At his first start on the varsity at TE he was matched up with the 4A Mr. Football finalist from Morristown West and made his knees buckle when he came off the ball. The very next play he hit one of their MLBs and put him out for the remainder of the game. Look out for this kid in the future. He put several kids in the hospital this year from just hitting them head on. Daniel Villegas (RB,DB) was a few yards short of 1000 this year rushing. This was only in seven games. He also had several interceptions and tackles at corner. Chad Browder (WR,DB,K,P,QB) this kid does a little bit of everything. But what is most impressive is his punting ability. He will be one of the great ones if he continues to improve. His longest this year was 55 yards and was backed deep in his own endzone.

maryville h s never really plays the freshman on varsity but you should consider adrian baker the freshman rb. he is strong fast and a natural runner. also he is 202 lbs and no fat. scored sixteen or seventeen times in only eight freshman games and never played over two quarters because maryville blew everyone away.

First of all to all of the poeple out there who think Caleb Skogen is good needs to get a life. Templ eis in their first year and they play the WORST teams. They just throw it up to Skogen every play. He is the entire offense. I heard they played a deaf team. not that I have anything against the deaf but it does make it a little more difficult to play football does it not? But the topic of this thing is best freshmen. McCallie's freshmen class is insane...lemme tell you this list

Walter Dozier-Without a doubt this kid has the potential to be the best athelete McCallie has ever seen. He scores on everyplay. McCallie will want the ball in his hands as much as possible. He will also play basketball and will be a ballah.

Anthony Conney-The guy is a true athlete with the speed and power to become a great back.

Joel Bradford-The new age Haddon Kirk. The guy is fast and has hands. Watch out for this guy to have a lot of recieving yards by the end of his senior year.

BJ Coleman-Could be McCallie's starting QB next year. Tall, strong, and has an arm on him. The question with him is if Ralph Potter is goign to use Dozier as the QB and run an option game or put Dozier at reciever and let BJ throw to him.

Will and Joe Young-These Identical twins are two tough little guys. Will is more of a defensive player, while Joe runs for tough yards on offense. The question with these guys is their height. They are about 5'5 right now. If they can get to about 5'9" and work out they will be hosses in the high school level. Both could be all-state corners if they work hard. Tough guys.

ok nader64-your a jacka$$ Caleb is the best receiver in the city of chattanooga-possibly the state Single A-just go watch him play-my word think before shooting your mouth off-look at his numbers-so what if they throw to him everyplay-if you had someone on your team who no one could stop wouldn't you use him ALL THE TIME--my gosh think a little no they didn't play a deaf team-you Dumb A!! they played witwell (might have been a scrimmage) Copper Basin-Celina-Lookout Valley- and other legit varstiy teams- Call Clay Countys' coach and ask him what he thinks of Caleb-they put 10 guys on him and couldn't stop him-(ok so I exaggerated with 10 but about 3 for real)-Yes it is a first year program and as a team they are not that great(for a first year team they did very well) but overall yea not too impressive-but don't take away from individual talent b/c a team is just so so.....
