At last count there were somewhere aroung 180 schools participating in bowling this year. It is growing so fast that they are now beginning to think about splitting into divisions. Should make it more challenging for the smaller schools

um.. wouldnt divisions make it easier for the smaller schools? I dont know about you, but at FRA, its hard to find 6 good bowlers out of 300 students. Id think itd be a lot easier to get 6 bowlers out of 1000+ students.

That's the point, I believe they should split into divisions, the districts are hard enough competing with the schools that have a larger student base to choose from. I believe that more schools would join if there were a break. By the way I'm at a small school and have over 20 that are bowling this year!

Who won the state tournie last year?

Hendersonville won the guys state last year. Mt Juliet won the girls i believe.

Columbia Academy is in their second year. I don't know that we will win our district, however we will have a lot of fun together and all 20 bowlers will have an opportunity to compete and say that they have played a high school sport.
