Who is the team to beat in 8AA this season? York?

Can't be York. They are 7AA. York has a good chance to be the top team in 7AA. Portland may be the team to beat in 8AA.

The team to beat will be MLK. The second spot will be a toss up between Hume-Fogg and Lipscomb.Portland has the best player, obviously, in Corey Brewer but they will have to have some people to step up. The rest of us will be jockeying for position. It could be a very interesting year in 8AA.

CoachF, don't count yourself out. You have a lot of talent over there. Don't forget about Springfield either this year. Although, I did hear that a starting guard (maybe Collier) had broken an ankle. Anyone know for sure about that and how long he may be out?

Collier should be back for basketball. And yes, Springfield has a lot of talent and are very athletic. Ray Stanton is the one to watch for Springfield.

 

East Lit is a top 4 team until they get back #44...then they could be a top 2 team.

 

Lipscomb graduated 6 Seniors and have a new coach. It will be interesting to see how they compete this year.

Upperman should be the top of 7aa this year, with Livingston and York battling for 2nd.Upperman returns 4 starters from last years team as well as the Shanks kid from injury.

York should be very good... With Ledbetter inside the paint and they also have some very good outside shooters.... I say they will go as far as they did last year or maybe even farther
