coachbubba
I hope that all of you "football gurus" will come down to Midway Friday night to watch this game. You know, when you are looking ahead to CAK playing SP or Boyd, then you are really showing how little you know about the playoffs. Anything can happen, (look at CAK vs Cloudland). Don't think that just because they beat Cloudland, that they automatically can beat anyone. Don't underestimate the Big Green. Like I said before, they have yet to beat Midway. So, just one more thing: SOR baby!
FormerWarrior44
Don't get me wrong, CAk played a great game against Cloudland last Firday, but state? In one word...NO. In fact, I believe they will lose to midway this friday. this is just my opion. Lets say for sake of arguement that they advance to the 4th round, then what? They will either play South Pitt. or Boyd... not pretty. Then if by some miracle they beat one of those 2, they will probably play CPA. I am seeing no chance there. Like I say, all they can do now is prove me wrong...so... ACCARP doesnt look like CPA is even in it now does it?
Dalton91
If CAK is going to be an East TN version of CPA, Goodpasture, Boyd Buchanon etc. they will start a new chapter in the public vs private squabble that has gone on for years. The huge upset from friday night may rekindle the topic anyhoo. Most 1A and 2A coaches in ET feel that the private schools still playing in the public classes for 1A and 2A are guilty of breaking the "Thou shalt not bear false witness" commandment when it comes to giving financial backing to recruited athletesanyway. Especially if they play football I can't speak for all private school but I can say for a fact that CAK does not recruit and any student receiving financial aid does not play any varsity sport. In fact, if you want to play at CAK you must pay up $6500 per year and maintain a higher GPA than TSSAA rules. And this gives us an unfair advantage?
