JoeBlowBoy...Sucsummore almost beat Giles County...if 20 pts. is your idea of almost beating Giles County, then you need to snap back to the real world. I will give Sucsummore credit, they managed to keep it respectable...wait a minute...no they didn't...you guys got blown right out of the gym in front of the entire region...save yourself and your school some humiliation and don't post on here again. Smokeyvols links do all the talking we need too...why don't you back up your crazy comments with some facts????

Why don't all yall people that hate just shut up about things. We can't help it that we have one of the best players in the nation that is a junior. Joeblowboy your just mad that your team doesn't have anyone that can match up to him or much less anyone else. And by the way, he isn't the only one on our team that is outstanding. In the scrimmage game against Hickman County tonight (Tuesday), Shay Shannon was no joke. He knocked down 8 3pts, not including all the other points, and our last scrimmage against Franklin County he ended up w/ 28 points and was the team leader. Tonight Tyler had a good amount of assists, including the one where he was on a fast break w/ Justin Morris behind him and Tyler threw if off the backboard and let Justin catch if for the dunk. So everyone just quit hatin b/c yall do not have anyone that can match up to our team.

If I remember correctly the topic of this thread is "does anyone know who can beat tyler smith?" People post GOOD players that would put up a pretty good fight and all yall (Giles Co. fans) do is absolutly deny that he can be shut down. This isn't your personal website, you are a guest here. Everyone is entitled to thier opinions, SO SHOW SOME CLASS. By the way... if I am still remembering correctly didn't Logan Pierce hold The Bird Man to under 10 points?

I don't doubt that the kid can be shut down...everyone has off nights. However, 99% of the time, this guy will be the dominating factor in all Giles County games. Whether he is passing, shooting, rebounding, blocking shots, or dunking, this kid knows how to help the TEAM. Notice the word TEAM, that is what it is all about. I think threads like this are started with one purpose...to stir up trouble. T-Smith is without a doubt one of the best players in the nation, his stats and recognition speak for themselves. The Bobcats face a tough schedule this year: Brentwood Acd, Bradley Central, Lee High School, Columbia. Bobcat fans, lets abandon this thread and let the WINS do our talking!!!!

Tyler is a heck of a player, and not many teams will be able to match up with him this winter, but... where are people getting that Tyler is 6'8 or 6'7??? Tyler was 6'5 over the summer, and 6'5 last year. He is an amazing athlete and a heck of a player, but he is a 6'5 WF right now, not 6'7, 6'8, or 7'0 ( )...

Are you crazy? Hes rated number 1 junior in some polls and you think one of these guys can guard him. yeah rite. You might have to go to a private school to get some1 that can guard him. If you dont know what your talking about dont get on here rappin'.

joecowboy. You are seriously biased. Giles County went on like a 15 point run in the third quarter of the 71-51 win over Sycamore last year WHEN TYLER SMITH WAS TAKEN OUT OF THE GAME. The time when Sycamore should have been making their run, GILES COUNTY WAS THE ONE WHO WAS RUNNING AWAY WITH THE GAME WITH THEIR STAR PLAYER ON THE BENCH.

And to stay on topic, if Tyler's mind is focused, he is almost unstoppable. Sparkman did a great job last year, I'm glad someone noticed. Fred is also attending the University of North Carolina on a football scholarship. Way to go Fred, good luck to you and fellow Lion Wadele Williams.

    • It was not ACHS at all, they have zero reason to worry about Clinton.  It had to do with a kid (non football player)  that had a charge and appeared in front of the juvenile judge.  The judge saw that the kid was way behind credit wise for his grade and told him to reappear in a month with a plan to graduate.  When the kid reappeared he had more that twice the credits than one month before.  The judge called BS and contacted the school.  That is what started the investigation.  This involves multiple students, but to this point no athletes are involved.
    • I believe the Covington Chargers travel to Trenton Peabody for a scrimmage today? Anyone going to this? Curious how the Chargers will do.
    • Good ole Bradley Zulliger. He was a really good QB @ OR. Fun to watch.  Wore #15 and was like a mini Tebow, with the exception of being right handed. He could take a pounding and keep on ticking. Played with a collapsed lung against Powell that year. Tough as nails.
    • They should be pretty good in year two for Rang.  Replacing most of the offensive production losing Dozier, Hayward and Rembert , but they're are skill kids in place ready for their shot.  I know I say this every year, but the o line should show improvement after two years in Rang and Kevin Day's weight program.  I still would favor West over Plow and OR come November.  The Rebs will have to grow up a bunch between now and then, and will probably take some lumps along the way with that schedule.  But I predict come playoff time they will be ready.   One of their coaches half joked to me that they could go 5-5 regular season and win the state championship.  Ha ha.
    • there will be a couple of teams, that could make some noise
