As a fan of east tennessee football (don't worry, my team has been out of the game for awhile), I don't think Jefferson County has the athletes to beat Oak Ridge. It should be close, but I think Oak Ridge wins that one. I think McMinn County has a chance against DB. McMinn has a good team this year. They've always had great offenses, capable of scoring points, but their defenses have been lacking. I haven't seen them play this year, so I don't know if that is still the case. Anybody who loses to Karns can lose to anybody. I don't think this is one of DB's best teams. Don't get me wrong, DB must be good, but it isn't one of their best. After saying that, I still think DB wins. They are very tough to beat at home. Of course, this is just one fan's opinion.

If that's the case, you guys can beat anybody. I always felt like McMinn's D was what kept them from taking the next step. They've had good teams, but they've never been able to get over the hump. In my opinion, it was always the defense. It seemed like you guys always won games 40 something to 30 something. If your D is as good as the stats say and as good as you think, then you guys can win. I'd love to see you beat DB. Regardless, I'm really looking forward to that 3rd round matchup.

Very unbiased opinion from a fan whos seen a bunch of games this year in Region I and Region II.... :)

I think DB will take a tough McMinn County team. I look to see Oak Ridge take Jeff County.

DB takes Oak Ridge in the quarters. (Not sure it will matter much, however. The winner of Regions I & II will get Lincoln County.) :P

I guess Mr Football award finalists arent atheletes. Maybe your right, but it wont be because Jeff CO was out "atheleted"

I have watched McMinn and Oak Ridge play so I don't know much about DB or Jefferson County however I do have a relative that lives in Johnson City and from what I have heard over the years both teams have some dangerous weapons. DB maybe more than Jefferson Co. I just can't see Jefferson Co. beating Oak Ridge. I mean even without Booker they are still awesome. McMinn on the other hand has impressed me but might not have enough to beat DB. I expect it to be region champion vs. region champion. Their is very good chance for an upset on either side though. And whoever posted the post about playing Lincoln County is right. I don't think any of these teams have to good of a chance againt them. Especially at their house "the pit."

I was only assuming that Lincoln Co. would win. You are right it could very well be Riverdale. Of course we have to beat Jeff Co., and assumedly come to your place. Man, what a tough place to win one over the Indians. Good luck with McMinn. I hope we can take Jeff. Co. and still be standing to come up there to beautiful J. Fred Johnson stadium and take on a fine better than expected D-B team.

Hope to see you on the 21st, I think. I've had far too many long rides home from up there.
