No, but it definitely doesn't hurt. As for DII-AA, um, yeah right. probably middle. and i'm from east, but i know they don't touch west or middle, although kc could make believers out of DII-AA fans if they keep pemberton, who should be on the hot list for coaches this offseason.

In 1A, I believe that 10 of the past 13 state champs have been from Middle, with SP having 2 and Oneida one. So the west has had none since 1989.

stones, there is only east and west DII. No middle. BGA and PJPII are considered in the east region.

Right now I would say middle. However, if some of the Memphis teams had better coaching then I would say West.

If their coaching matched their athletes, Memphis would dominate.

Right now and throughout the majority of the season the East has been havin som good football. With teams like AE and Fulton and a few more who could have better football.

please do not say that goodpasture and lipscomb are like college teams. They are good for their class, but that is insane. Then along your line of logic D-2 AAA is the NFL!!!!

DIIAAA and DIAAAAA are the two best classes in the state, and Middle Tennessee teams have pretty much dominated both of those lately. Gotta go with middle.

this is tough to answer. I think it depends on the class. In the public schools, 5A and 2A, middle seems to be the best. In 4A and 3A, east seems to be the best. That is not to say that teams from these areas will win the title every year, but as was said before, over the course of time. I really can't say in 1A. I think a lot has to do with the number of schools in a class in an area. Middle is dominated by the private schools and 5A. In the east, 4A is better overall than 5A (IMO). And of course, you could take the top 5 schools from a smaller division and move up and they would still do well. So, have I answered the question? Not really!
