You seem to know a lot about Unaka Lady Ranger basketball. Do you really have an insight to their program or do you just have a really good imagination? Read something about you being there once but not now. A person with your knowledge should be involved in a basketball program somewhere. Are you doing any coaching or just commentary? Do you really think the Lady Rangers can get over the hump this year and take down the Lady Highlanders? How will they compare with the rest of the county? Do they play any of the other schools? Figured you would know all. You're the man.

Unaka will get over the hump with Cloudland. You know those that get out of coaching for a while, go into commentary. So I guess I'll sit back, watch games and give honest unbiased opinions. Some on here can take the honesty, while others choose to remain in their own little fantasy world.

As for using my basketball knowledge somewhere, I don't believe all of my knowledge and your knowledge combined could help the group you are referring to!

From what I know they played decent this summer at UNC. They played in the division with last year's State Champions from various states and were very competitive. (They were going to play in the next highest division and 2 reigning state champions said they had lost too much and couldn't compete. So Unaka moved up.

From what I've heard this year, they beat Science Hill by 21 and Happy Valley by 8. They scrimmage Crockett and South this weekend.

I'll keep my day and adjust to being a step-father at night.

They did drop out of the Livingston Tournament (Due to the $1,000 in you don't show clause) I think Unaka was worried about possible weather problems and didn't want to be binded to paying if that happened to be the case. They are in the Harriman Christmas Tournament now.

I do not know who replaced them. Sorry.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to go to Pickett County. Being a family man now, I must entertain the kids while the Mrs. shops on Friday. But I'll try to get out to Happy Valley and check out the local competition for Coach Chambers. Keep me informed on the scores on here.

I just heard the news last night, from one of your"Nazi Cheerleaders"......Congrats and good luck..... you'll need it!

If I don't have a team, how can I have a cheerleader?

And why will I need "good luck"? I've handled principals, parents and players in the past 17 years, what makes you think I couldn't handle a 7 and 10 year old!? Ha! Ha!

Thank you!!!!

About the "Nazi Cheerleaders", remember back in the day at Hunter.... remember now? Anyway, are you going to be at the Unaka/Happy Valley game next Tuesday? If so, I'd like to stop by and say hey.

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
