Giles County will play in the Sportsmed Shootout in Huntsville at the VBCC. Tournament begins Thursday goes thru Saturday. Go to sportsmedshootout.com for details and directions.

Now that is a tournament site that I wish our coach would look into.

What kind of fund raising do you do to raise the money for a trip like that?

It is hard for us to raise enough to go to Arkansas.

lexington is hosting a tournament. Bolivar, Union City, Trenton Peabody, and plenty of other good teams are playing in it.

Pickett County is hosting a tournament for boys and girls. Teams I think are Pickett, Celina, Santa Fe, and Unaka - not exactly sure these are the teams playing

Bluefan..the Bahama trip isn't as much fun as you think it would be. Unaka went last year. The ball over there is non-stop. They play rough and the refs stink. It's a lot of money to spend to play teams from Tennessee. As for the fundraising, Unaka had several dinners and as well as a couple of breakfasts to raise money.

 

it's pretty expensive over there because you have to use public transportation everywhere you go and the food isn't exactly cheap either. But on the up-side, the weather was beautiful. The hotel was nice as was the rest of the island. it's ok for a one-time-trip but as far as doing it every year, I don't think so.

In Gainesboro(JacksonCo.) we have Lawrence Co., Knox Carter, and Jackson Co.We at Jackson Co. will be playing Lawrence Co. and Knox Carter.

Ridgeway boys will be playing at Jackson County as well. On Friday, Ridgeway will play Carter at 5:00 while Jackson Co plays Lawrence Co at 8:00. On Saturday, Ridgeway will play Lawrence Co at 2:30 and Jackson County will play Carter at 5:30.
