Not into the pill thing Jimbo but thanks anyways :D I understand your post, just gets under my skin when someone gets on here and lies about what i said. :D

Hey fanatic. Im sorry that I made you so dern mad. I was just wanting to see what everyone else thought about her. I thought I was nice about it by not saying which Blue Devil fan it was that I was talking about. I never said that you said that, you did. You are jumping to conclusions my friend. Take Jimbo's advice and settle down, and lets get ready for another great season of basketball.

I'm glad to see this posting went cold about Livingston coaches. They are both good quality coaches that have been there and done that. It is true that the talent thru LA is not as good as before. However they are quickly turning it around. Coach Smith and Woodard know their stuff! They grew up watching and playing for LA and still love it after going thru all the SEC trips they have made.

As one said, once you get a taste of the BORO, you never forget it!

Yes, Katrina Beechboard is a great player, but she has 3 other teammates that were also coached by Bobby Gore, Kelly Thurman, Megan Thompson, and Kasey Baltimore. Do these three players not have the "know-how" as you call it? Not taking anything away from Beechboard. She's the best player in the district and one of the tops in the state, but she can't win a ball game by herself. As for the coaching question, I think Coach Smith is an excellent coach. I agree with the statement about the elementary schools. They have the talent, but the coaching just isn't the same as it used to be when Bobby Gore was there. But one can't blame that on Coach Smith.

Smith101, I will agree that Beechboard is a great player but do not agree that she is the "best" player in the district. Had you seen JC's Hensley's domination of Shelbyville, the number 1 rated team in the nation, I think you would agree that she has to be considered as one of the best in the district. It's going to be a very exciting 7AA this year.

Devilbuff-

I agree that it should be an exciting year. I actually think that J and LA are similar. You have one great horse and alot of other important horses that can take over if necessary. Can you shut down the main horse? NOPE. Then it usually comes down to the other players when the chance arises, especially how they are hitting that night. J Co. has made the breaks in recent memory. Hopefully that will change this year.

I will say it first- Livingston and J Co. in the AA finals in the Boro.

I'm sure you'll have alot of people get on here and dispute what you just said, especially at the end of the year when both progams have a few losses (due to the very tough schedules they both play) but as me and you and everyone that follows 7AA knows this is the best and toughest district in the state and probably the nation for that matter! Atleast on of the the toughest in the nation for sure! But people from east and west tn that don't really know how good these girls are will say no way but in the end if you are going to win the AA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP you are going to have to beat LA or Jackson County or both and right now thats just not happening, and i realize there are a couple of programs that can say they have played us before and all that but not when it counts not when it comes down to going home or going on and the ones that have played us when it came down to that were watching the state championships from the stands. Anyway hope your there winning that silver platter this year!!! :) And we get another Goldy for the treasure chest!! :)

Devilbuff-I wasn't at the Jackson Co./Shelbyville game so I missed out on seeing Hensley's performance. However, the way everyone is talking on here she really put on a show. I know she is a great player because I have saw her play before. Is she the best in the district?....maybe so. But I'm not the one that decides on that. Whoever does get district mvp, whether it be Beechboard or Hensley, I just hope we get to see these two girls and their teams going at it in the state championship! Good Luck Hogeye!

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
