Yes the Ross twins did quit. I heard it from another player on Yorks team. But I didn't get the information about why they quit? That will defn. hurt York's team. I also heard something about the York girls transferring. Is this true? We wouldn't mind them up in Livingston.

If you would've read what I wrote the first time you wouldve noticed that I said "I have no coaching ability whatsoever." So I don't know why you had to pull out one of your smart comments towards me. I meant nothing towards Coach Smith all I said was I have to question her subbing. And once again Wildcat02 I have no coaching ability whatsoever.

Devilfanatic- LA: Very Talented? Yes without a doubt, Very well coached- Yes. But sometimes I have to question some of her calls. And yes I have no coaching ability whatsoever and I'm sure she has a reason for everything she does but what about this? Against Sevier Co. a very very good team I might add, the game is tied with about 2 minutes to go in the half. And she pulls out Beechboard, Thompson, and Thurman? None of who are in foul trouble none who seem to be out of breath or tired. Then ends up going in at half time down 5 when before the game was tied? I'm not putting down Coach Smith by all means...shes got too many wins and too good of a team to say she can't coach...but sometimes I just have to question her subbing.

Im going to say Jackson Co. by 8 in a low scoring game.

I dont know if this game will be as close as everyone thinks it will be. I know that both teams get pumped up when playing the other. It's just a big rivalry and they usually seem to come ready to play. However, Livingston Academy had some tough games at the Greeneville Classic in Jefferson Co, McMinn Central, Sevier Co, and South Greene. So shouldn't the girls have been ready to play? They weren't! They played the worst ball they have played all year. why? I have no idea. And yes I've heard of having an off night, but 4 bad games in a row? How they won is beyond me b/c they didn't play well. They better get in gear real quick or they will have 2 L's handed to them this week.

Was there an all tournament team picked at this tournament? If so, who all made it? It would've been a tough decision b/c there were so many good players there.

I'm not sure about Baltimore guarding Naff. Thompson might be the one that guards her. Thompson usually guards the other teams point guard. However last night vs. Oliver Springs Kasey Baltimore guarded Laura Hall. So who knows?

Who played good in this game? Who is Erin Todd? From listening on the radio, it sounded like she played really good, but I don't remember her from last year. The radio said Kellie Thurman was in foul trouble starting at the national anthem. She she would've stayed in the game and LA didn't have sick players the point spread might have been about 20 points?

That fast break play you were talking about was awesome, I agree. Beechboard gives Thompson a behind the back pass, Thompson scoops it right back to Beechboard for the lay up. And what about that alley oop pass Thompson gives Beechboard for the tip in. Those 2 play so good together, along with the rest of the Lady Cats. Great game against York. Keep it up.

Did anyone see this game? I don't understand how York (supposed to be a top dog in 7aa this year) goes to Pickett Co. and only wins by 5. Nothing against Pickett Co. I've saw them play and they are a good team for single A. Who was the leading scorer? How did Pickett Co. guard Brown?

WannaBLikeBeech-I'm suprised at your statement. You always post messages to LA's favor. So why this time are you picking Cookeville? Have you saw them play this year? Are they better than LA? I figured York would be better than Cookeville, but you seem to think otherwise? Any reason why?

Who is starting for Cookeville? I haven't gotten a chance to watch them play this year, but I've heard good things about them. I know they have Cara Reed and Meredith Redus. What will be a threat to Livingston besides that awesome defense that Cookeville always plays?

I don't know much about Obion Co. All I know is they play against Livingston Academy in the tournament this weekend. Will it be a good game? Who should come out on top?

Devilbuff-I wasn't at the Jackson Co./Shelbyville game so I missed out on seeing Hensley's performance. However, the way everyone is talking on here she really put on a show. I know she is a great player because I have saw her play before. Is she the best in the district?....maybe so. But I'm not the one that decides on that. Whoever does get district mvp, whether it be Beechboard or Hensley, I just hope we get to see these two girls and their teams going at it in the state championship! Good Luck Hogeye!

All this voting on here means is one team has more fans that are aware of this website. Simple as that. Not saying that Jackson won't win the state again this year, b/c I actually wouldn't be one bit suprised if they did after watching them play against Clarkrange. I'm a Livingston fan and would like to see them win it, but like everyone else has said Jackson Co. is still the favorite until someone proves them otherwise.

I completely agree with that statement NUMBERONE. The only one who gets credit is the one that averages the most points a game. No one looks at the one with the most assists, steals, or rebounds. Everyone only cares about those points!

Yes, Katrina Beechboard is a great player, but she has 3 other teammates that were also coached by Bobby Gore, Kelly Thurman, Megan Thompson, and Kasey Baltimore. Do these three players not have the "know-how" as you call it? Not taking anything away from Beechboard. She's the best player in the district and one of the tops in the state, but she can't win a ball game by herself. As for the coaching question, I think Coach Smith is an excellent coach. I agree with the statement about the elementary schools. They have the talent, but the coaching just isn't the same as it used to be when Bobby Gore was there. But one can't blame that on Coach Smith.

Megan Thompson from Livingston Academy will be signing a scholarship with Freed-Hardeman on next Thursday the 13th.
