BA opens its' season tonight against M.L.K. It will be interesting since most of BA guys have just gotten out of football. Will Johnny Lee be able to get anything going against the defending state champs?

This will be a tough game. At least two of BA's fornt court upper classmen won't play at all due to missed practices, and the rest of the football players are not yet in Bball shape at all. Brandon and Josh might be able to carry the Eagles throug, but this will not be a pushover by any means. MLK split with BA last year.

Who will not be playing tonight? Who is BA starting five? Same as last year?

I know that at the very least neither Holbert, Little nor Ralls will play tonight at all, and I would imagine that Turner's, Griffin's and Slay's time will be limited.

 

The entire starting five from last year is back, but as you probably know, Coach Pitts plays ten deep. In the first few games, I imagine we'll see every possible combination out there on the floor.

This will be a good game between two of the best teams in Nashville. MLk will bring it as always to BA. I think that MLK will pull out this one, due to the fact that BA will not have all of its Football players back in Bball shape.

BA dominated this game. MLK had trouble holding B. Wright. Will Gomab please how some respect to Mason Revelette. He is the pg and held Johnny Lee to 0pts the 2nd half. He also had 6pts, 7asst., 5steals, 1 block, and 0 turnovers. BA looked as if they have already geled together after only a few practices. Should be a fun season.

Great job, Eagles!! I'm not surprised by the victory, but am thrilled that it appears they have already jelled to an extent. It only goes up from here!

OK...let's be real here. BA is far from "gelled". It was a 5 point game at halftime, and only because B. Wright hit a sweet 3 at the buzzer. BA looked really rusty, and will need to improve a lot. Johhny Lee played a very good game, and was matched up 1 on 1 with Josh Bone when the two of them were in. BA played mostly zone in the second half especially, so although Mason played well, to say "he" held JL scoreless in the 2nd half is a stretch. Johhny played very little in the 4th quarter.

 

On the positive side, Brandon was awesome. Probably had 8-10 blocks in the game, and shut down the inside game. Barry Turner played remarkably well also, for just having 5 practices under his belt. BA will get a lot better, and tat is a scary thought for opponents. As previously stated, Griffin, Holbert nor Ralls played at all.

 

BA will get better...and will need to this weekend for a tough road trip to play McCallie and Baylor in Chattanooga this weekend.

No question that BA looked a little sluggish in the

first half. Barry Turner was very strong inside and

ran the floor well.

 

Brandon was definitely a cut above everyone else

on the floor. Part of Johnny Lee's scoring problem

was Brandon's swatting of his shots every time

he tried to drive the lane.
