I do not have any stats on Kayla, but those who have seen her play don't have to have stats to know how awesome she is. Kayla handles the ball better than just about anyone I have seen, & she is only a freshman. She is also a long range 3-point shooter. I can't imagine what she will be like in 3 years! She is something else. Tuesday night when we played Dresden, Kayla ran circles around those girls.

Wait til the rematch with Camden. They got hot the other night and slipped by. Anna Martin will have the answer for Kayla girl. If she dribbles circles around her then she will be doing something. Go Lions!!!!!!

Well, utm_ball it looks like you ate your words. Yeah Camden had some good girls and they did give Gleason a little competition, but well it didnt get Camden anywhere. K.Hudson still was dribbling circles around em! ;)

Happy New Year BB fans...regarding the point guard Hudson....sources tell me she had a sister that played last year...where is she playing in college? Hudson, along with those other strong players on her team will make for some good ball watching this year. Hang in there lady lions...the fat lady hasn't sung yet! Keep up the good work!

Honestly,

Kayla's big sister, Haley wasn't half the player that Kayla has become already.

Haley it seems got more looks than sports skill over Kayla. Not to say Kayla is a homely one, but she doesn't wear 6 inches of make-up during basketball games either.

Haley is not playing anywhere, but is attenting UTM I believe.

As for, her skills, I believe with the line-up that Gleason has this season, and coming up in the next 3 years, it will be a big surprise to me if the Lady Dawgs do not get a third gold ball to put in the trophy case.

They have had a few down years, where all they have been doing is winning the District Championship, but I believe they will indeed return to their great form of the early 90's-mid-90's, and it is only a matter of time.

Obviously, though, a lot of schools around these parts, like Greenfield, Union City, South Fulton, and even Bradford would love for their down years to be spent still winning championships. I mean the only time Gleason hasn't won the District title in the last 3 years was 2001-02, and that team was just disastrous, even by GHS standards. I mean they were 4th in the district of 4 teams after the tournament, meaning that they lost to Greenfield. Ugh.

    • Tough situation.  Not sure the ROI is there right now.   Might be better options that are cheaper.
    • Yeah summer ball is really fun, but a lot of coaches are trying to play several kids to get much needed reps that they are not accustomed to. I would imagine Gibson County will have lots of players playing to get much needed reps. Want to win games but got to get experience as well and the rotation will be much deeper. I will be at MTSU, UTM Bethel and others. MTSU is the one I really look forward to.
    • So who are the new additions to the staff? Serious answers only please.
    • Its always interested to see the state teams the following summer after losing or not losing seniors and getting freshman and transfers. It's almost time.
    • Maryville has Alcoa on the schedule at the right time of the season which helped last year instead of at the first of the year not knowing much. West will be hard pressed to repeat this year but next will be a different story.
