How about starting a voluntary 6 man football division? Many states do this, and it seems to be a good solution for smaller rural schools. I really think it could resolve a lot of issues. No school would be forced to play 6 man, but if numbers are an issue, then it could be a great alternative.

That idea has some real potential for the smallest schools. Texas has had a strong league for years. I have suggested it before, but the coaches on here don't seem to consider anything less than 11 man ball to be legitimate.
