3-0 White County Wins over Cookeville, Warren Co, and Siegel

2-1 Blackman Wins over Siegel, Lebanon

2-1 Cookeville Wins over Siegel, Lebanon

2-1 Oakland Wins over Lebanon, Riverdale

2-1 Warren County Wins over Riverdale, Oakland

1-2 Riverdale Lady Warriors Win over Blackman

0-3 Siegel

0-3 Lebanon

 

Next District Games

Jan 9

Riverdale-Cookeville

Oakland-White County

Blackman-Warren County

Siegel-Lebanon

 

It looks like there is alot to talk about till then. It will have to be talk, because not much has been decided as of yet. Big win tonight by the Lady Warriors heading into the Christmas Break. Not a time you want to be winless in the district. Not with the 8 team format of this years tournament. What are the surprises and observations so far of this district and all the youth that is being served by the Boro? Maybe it won't be long until the Boro is sweeping the district's top four spots into the region. Lets start with a Boro sweep come Jan 9. Could it happen this early?

The Boro teams are not going to take 1-4 I mean honestly........no way this year. If they are going to do that it would have to be in the next 2 years though probably. The Boro is probably about to add another high school so in 2-3 years look for the boro to make up their own district with Wilson Central and Lebanon joining them. Don't get me wrong the district is still very tough but can you remember what it was like just 3 years ago when it was just Oakland and Riverdale and they got to pick from ALL the athletes. There is enough to go around but the expansion has helped other teams for the short term probably. There are so many kids in the Boro though it will equal back out soon enough and no one will be an easy W in distrcit 7AAA.

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
