Best 8th grader is the state no doubt

Mikey placed third at SE Regionals this year, but he won it in both styles the last three years. He placed at USA Nationals twice (3rd and 4th) and 3rd at Ohio TofC. I would like to see Mikey wrestle this Shields kid, just because a good fight would be good for my brother. I hope he is at Regionals or Nationals this year. The more good TN kids that come along the better. I'm going to look at his old brackets tonight, for some reason I am pretty sure they wrestled each other a year or two ago.

hey this is Nic shields i have wrestled 3 national tournaments. Placing 5th in one and 3rd in the other. My dad takes me to any and every tournament we can get to. I appriciate yalls comments, but for your information ive wrestled many tournaments out of my back yard. No i am not the best 8th grader in the state either though. I need to work a lot harder before i could ever say that.

mikey fuller is an 8th grader at soddy daisy, the younger brother of soddy's 130lbs. ryan fuller. he is going to be one of the best if not the best freshman in the state next year. i wish he could wrestle for the high school this year. he has already proved himself at the national leval, he is already a two time all-american with usa wrestling. he should be an exciting kid to watch next year.

    • They've had some great talent over the years. They usually don't whip no one but can be tough to stop on offence.
    • Could be a lot of reason from what I’ve seen so far.  The lights wouldn’t turn on at Smyrna last night and had to move games to Blackman could be a reason or maybe he is talking about how on some of the games on NFHS network the camera placement was absolutely asinine. ( had a camera set up right in front of a net and couldn’t see crap)
    • If Gordonsville can manage getting through these next 2 games without using him it will be ideal. ER was the last team to not have to pitch their #1 till the state championship i believe. Worked out well for them but they also had one of the best 1A staffs of all time that year. Only allowed one run the whole tournament and it was in the 7th inning.
    • And he’s not even their #1. Lights out performance. Gordonsville is in the drivers seat with their #1 arm available throughout the tournament.
    • Close, after watching today I will take Alcoa and Meigs in the winers bracket games.
