I think this topic should be left alone...the game is over...they will play again...I think if they are going to play again...they should play on a neutral court...let them do this and then see which team is the better team...but that is only my opinion...

This is my last post on this subject and like I've said I could care less either way other than the fact that I would love to have been there because it sounded like a fun game to watch. But bobcat fan you will never make me believe that your guys are innocent of anything cause one of your players instigated a fight in a scrimmage a few years ago with one of our guys. heck one of your guys started it by throwing a basketball as hard as he could in the face of one of our guys and a fight started out. Now thats a common and as thug as you get right there so don't give me your crap about your guys being all innocent, thats a crock.

This is my last response on this thing...but I have never heard nor saw Pickett Co. act this way...Is it always like this when these 2 teams play each other???If that is the case these two teams do not need to play each other anymore...

i think they should continue playing each other.....heated rivalrys are always fun to watch....as long as they are controlled....

This was not a controlled game and NOT fun to watch. Even the police in the lobby were saying the game was out of control due to the officials. I have been to every Pickett game since 1995 in in those games (over 300) no Pickett player has ever thown a ball in anyone's face. That is not true. And, I was told by someone from Columbia. KY that this always goes on at Monroe and that is why the visiting teams' bus is escorted out of town by 3 police cars...in Pickett's case to the state line. What kind of place is that where the busses need an escort? The films clearly shows that Pickett Co. did not start a fight.

tennisguy...lol..yeah..i was in that game.and we might have started it..but it's not cool to come after us with like 8 pickup trucks of guys while we are at a restaurant...lol..j.k..man..i though everybody had forgot about that game...and on the subject of monroe co..i was at tghe last games we played each other...we won big on our court and lost on theirs..the refs were horrible..but their is no excuse for blowing a 20 point lead..however it is the responsibility of the refs to keep the games in order..letting the play lead to fights is a poor excuse for officials..if any kid gets hurt because a ref can't blow a whistle or refuses to because it's at a teams home court should quit their job and take responsiblity for their actions...i'm not sayin pickett don't get calls at home too...but the level of physicality isn't the same as it is in ky..that being said..if the refs let their team gett rough, they should let our players get rough and not call touch fouls..if they call it both ways, then the pickett players should step up and be physical right back...but the problem has been that monroe co gets away with anything and then they call touch fouls on us..

Well bobcatfan even one of your own remembers it. I didn't say it happened in a game, it happened in a scrimmage, read a lil closer. I was keeping the scoreboard at that game and I remember it well. And bobcat baller I remember when those guys came up there, those 3 guys that came up there just like to mouth a lil. Thats about all they woulda done. The one that ya'll didn't want to meet up with after the scrimmage is the one that ya'll hit with the ball, he backs up what he says. I'm just glad that those guys that met ya'll after the game had left the game like a minute before it happened. With him there they woulda started something and it coulda gotten ugly. Well anyways I do hope this rivalry keeps goin. Its a game that doesn't really mean anything but gets the high intensity feel of postseason before the postseason. But you've learned your lesson about playing up there. We here at Macon had a great rivalry with them, especially in girls during the mid 90's but it always got too ugly, especially up there. But I wish we woulda kept playing them, just don't expect much up there like no one should expect much at Pickett either. Anyways sorry I had to post this, bobcatfan basically called me a liar and I just didn't like it too good, if he has been to all the games maybe he needs to make a few of the scrimmages too, there is no telling what all he has missed.

Film, Film, FLIM, FLIM Did you edit some parts out? I saw a different game wether you fans like it or not. Like I said the refs called the same on both sides. You can say they was horrible and I would agree 110% with you.

 

Heard a rumor going around Pickett County is indeed off our schedule next year if I hear anything else I will post the reports. I hope to god they are off the schedule! The last time I went to a Pickett/Monroe game besides this year was a couple of years ago when a kid from Pickett clearly clobbered a Monroe player on the sidelines. Soon after the game people met up in Wal-Mart parking lot here in Tompkinsville long before the police broke it up. Why Pickett fans go crazy over things I do not KNOW! Maybe atitude adjustments? I hope this problem gets solved. The game this year was also out of control. #30 for Pickett was begging for a fight almost all night long. As well as the whole team. For Monroe I wouldn't blame them for not shaking their hands at the end of the ballgame. The BOBCATS should have loaded the bus before the game even started if they were going to bring that atitude into the ville'. Now Pickett fans you wonder why you have to get escorted back across the line to keep you people safe from various reasons.

The police, according to Adiar Co. fans, escorts every team out, not just Pickett Co. I guess they know that Monroe Co. causes trouble all the time. And, according to Macon Co. they had trouble at Monroe Co. all through the 1990's.

Pickett County baskettball team cries more than anyone I know.... They do have a good team but I think they would be better if they would quit worrying about the officiating I went to the Clarkrange Pickett co. game and they was hollaring at the refs the whole game....... Grow up people its just a game..... No need to scream as loud as some of you all was. I am glad people don't act that immature where i went to highschool.... I wouldnt want someone to represent my school like that....
