Dreher (SC) Scores 68-45 Victory over Westview (TN)

 

 

Dreher (SC) opened the Fifth Annual Beach Ball Holiday Classic with an impressive 68-45 victore over Westview (TN) on Friday at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.

 

Dreher (7-0) led 27-20 at halftime before putting the game out of reach with 16-3 run to open the second frame. Westview (8-1) pulled no closer than 18 points the rest of the way as Dreher opened its biggest lead of 31 points at 63-32 with 5:48 remaining in the contest.

 

Junior Keturah Jackson led the victorious Lady Blue Devils with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Lesley Gadson and Tiffany Sumpter added 16 points each for Dreher.

 

Latoya Bellamy paced Westview with 14 points and eight rebounds.

Westview plays Socastee today 12/21 at 11:00 AM. There have been changes in the brackets from what was posted originally. Dreher was very good although Westview didn't play well at all. Dreher plays Briarcrest today at 4:15...it will be interesting to see how the games unfold after everyone has seen you play once. It will be a great day for basketball at the beach.

 

I just wish my buddy WesCharge could be here, it is just not the same without him... although there may not be enough puke bags to go around.
