How will Bradley play without Buckalew? Can Morris get 34 pts. againt the press?Will Jackie Pickle have another Double Double and lead the team in scoring?

At WVHS without top scorer Buckalew it will be close but I pick Walker Valley. If Morris isn't intimidated she will be the difference. If she plays like last night she is a D1 prospect. They need to go into her 3 out of every four trips down court. I was amazed at her last night and impressed. I hadn't read about her this year but she played good last night in front of a packed house. Pickel is good but I can't see her doing the double double. What was it, double figures double steals? Walker Valley by 5 with Morris scoring 25 and Pickel 20. That will be the five points difference.

I think Walker Valley will win this one by 10+...i know that Bradley has other good players too, but w/out buckaloo, i think it will make a big difference, so that is why i am sayin Walker Valley by 10+...i think it will be close till the end though. I will be there, can't wait to see it

Got to go with Walker Valley. Suzanne Morris was awesome last night against Central. Bradley's press is not as impressive as Central's press which WV handled fairly well last night. I agree with earlier post, WV needs to take the ball inside more and 3 point shoot less especially when 3 pointers were not falling like last night. Butler played well against the press but missed too many easy buckets, so take it inside. Tucker can coach with the best of them, McMinn should have done their best to keep him. WV by 8 before a packed house!!!!!!!!

As a Walker Valley fan, I am disappointed that Tiffany won't be there. You always want to play a good team at their best, and Bradley won't be on Monday night. The Bradley girls won by 12 (I think) last time and Tiffany had about 24 pts. Sounds like somebody from the Bearettes needs to step up or it will be a long night for them. The Lady MUstangs played very well against a top ten team at McMinn Central. Good luck Lady Mustangs!

TNGIRL....I don't think that is a fair statement. It will be harder to pull off a win to one of our rival teams but it isn't impossible. One person doesn't make a TEAM. Tiffiny is a big asset to Bradley and will be missed but even she is a TEAM player and will admit that her TEAM is a good one. Should be a closer game but not an impossible win.

I think the Bearettes will show one of their "Top Performances" tonight at the stable. I think they will miss Buckalew, but these girls have more to prove, and will be determined to do so. I remember a few years ago after Jackson left BC everyone thought they wouldn't do anything without her either, but the others stepped it up and they went just as far at tournament time.

 

Every team needs a "superstar" but, either one girl can do it all or 5 can share the responsibility- this is the others chance to shine, and you know they all want to, I mean who doesn't? They'll be alright!

 

(But with all that said- I am still for Lady Mustangs- only because thats where mine use to play!) Good Luck to both- Lets pray for no more injuries!

That's funny Peacemaker; Walker Valley doesn't have a "superstar", and their record is 19-3. No, not every team needs a superstar if they are going to be succesful. You see, it IS about playing as a team. I've seen the Lady Bears play and the only time the Jackson girl and the Buckalew girl even attempt an assist, is when they are trapped and can't get off a shot. It's all about scoring the most points. I feel sorry for a Kristen Reynolds who is a great player but only gets to touch the ball and score if she gets an offensive rebound. Oh well, can't say too much because they defeated the Lady Mustangs the last time they played, but to say that every team needs a "superstar" is a little off base.

Now I remember why I very rarely post on here anymore- No matter how nice or encouraging you try to be- somebody always picks one thing and turns it into a negative. I was trying to stress the fact that they didn't need a superstar and would be alright without her even though she would be missed! I realize I did say "Every team needs a superstar" but if you read everything else that was said it was said out of sarcasm! But whatever, everybody on here is always on the defense!

Don't worry about it peacemaker. There was nothing wrong with your post. I think some people enjoy the drama on these sites so they say things to get people upset.
