cbg
Ela, You need to understand that the wrestling community will be at the state duals. It could be that all cell phones are turned OFF and the coaches and adminstrators from Hamilton County cannot be reached. Like I said earlier, you can bet the farm that both Bradley and Soddy will be there. The wrestling community (both public and private) may fight it out during the season but they would pull together and fight against any force (Hamilton County School District) that tried to deny a school from wrestling in the state dual match tournament. I would even go so far to say that they would do everything in their power to see that the school board members were not elected again. I remind you of the bumper sticker that say' "Don't Mess With Texas" well it could just as easily say "DON'T MESS WITH WRESTLERS". texas23
I saw Legman and his pack of bears doing the backstroke near Ooltewah on my way to work this morining. I think I saw BayouBear with floaties and a kick board bringing up the rear.
CoachDelgado
In the mid 90's when Red Bank was one of the top teams in the state, they were not allowed to travel to the state duals due to weather. The tournament was postponed until Saturday to accomodate them, but they were still not allowed to get to Nashville. Hopefully history will not repeat itself. sly
I think Hamilton County Schools system has modified their rule concerning this by allowing for some exceptions. Which must be true since Soddy has already left for Clarksville as reported by CHSCOACH.
Likeachamp171
Franklin is apart of Williamson County, and they were closed today. Any news on their arrival in Clarksville, yet?
Rabbitt
i was on the '96 red bank team that didnt get to go to the duals, and the principle left it up to our coach to make the final answer. he said no. we had a really good chance to win it. we were ranked #1 in the state. overton ended up winning, and we beat overton in a dual earlier in the season by about 20 points. maybe that is why a bunch of kids transfered from red bank to another school to wrestle....damon floyd, rabbit turner, casey cothron, dustin ward, kevin ward, shawn cordell.....who knows??? duggerd1
Rabbit, The year was 1996 and Father Ryan won. Baylor left the night before, which the public schools were not allowed to do. They were the only East Tennessee team to compete. Overton won the individual state toutnament that year. Dan Dugger
