The TSSAA does not have copies of the finals tapes. If another avenue is found, it will be posted.

The last that I heard was that the only copy of the 1982 state tournament is in the hands of the Coach Piggue's (spelling) son. This was the coach of Glencliff highschool, where the state tournament was held in 1981 and 1982.

 

Maybe someone knows how to contact either Coach Piggue or his son.

There is at least one poster on the board that may be able to find out for you about what you heard concerning the only tape. He will probably be on the board during the next day or so, and maybe he will see your post and respond.

Good luck to your son as he ends up with one of the toughest positions of the tournament with Gibson. One thing,s for sure, if he does not advance, he'll get carried.

 

What's more, if he reaches or surpasses your personal 2nd in state accomplishment from a few years ago , you'll certainly want to place your tape order promptly.

Wasn't the tourney there in 1980 also? Has anyone found out if he still has those tapes?

I just spoke to Mrs. Pigue, she is one of the truest examples of a southern lady. Coach Pigue you are a fortunate individual! I will try to reach their son by telephone and will keep you posted as to the results. Thanks everyone for your help.
