Just wondering who you think is the best coach and why. Coach harville at Claiborne county and coach combs at Rutledge has brought their teams farther than the rest from the first of the season till now. Coach harville has less talent to work with, and forces teams to play his style in my opinion, so if i had a vote he would be my choice.

Hard to argue with those choices, both are deserving, but both Claiborne and Rutledge had more holes and struggled early only to right the ship and finish very strong in the end a sign of good coaching. I chose harville only because they had in my opinion less to work with and quite frankly when they played union early looked like a bottom of the destrict club only to finish very strong as did Rutledge. As for player of the year singleton is a good choice but day gets overshadowed and does some things better than singleton. An early predicition is that union's grigsby will be the top player next year if jessie will use him right.

Sauceman would have to fall of the map for Grigsby to get POY next year. Both those guys are juniors.

I have not seen sauceman play but once and he did not have a great game. I guess i favor chuck because i've seen him more ( he threw down 25 last night against anderson county) and think he would be even better if he had less ballhandling responsibilities, but sauceman must be good, and i didn't knoe he was only a junior as well.

Coach Harville at Claiborne County has done a great job. He coaches to the ablility of the players he has. Harville coached at Lexington Lafeyette for many years and was an assistant on a Lafeyette state championship team. He knows how to coach. If his Claiborne teams become more athletic then the style he plays will become more uptempo. With many of the teams in the district struggling down the stretch Claiborne may cause some serious damage in the district with the style and discipline that Coach Harville has developed this season.

All the athletes at Claiborne graduated last year. If Harville has to wait for more athletes, he'll have to go someplace else to find them.

    • Defending 2A state Champs Westview Lady Chargers are pretty tough. They lost a bunch of production off last year's squad but returned some talent as well. They still McCall Simms, a Tennesseee Lady Vol softball commit as well as solid talent around the diamond. I dont think they are as good as last season but they will definitely be a tough out. Huntingdon Lady Mustangs seem to be pretty stout as well. Don't know much about Riverside other than Westview defeated them earlier in regions. West Tennessee softball is pretty solid all around id say.
    • Eagleville couldn’t catch up to Jones, he did have his location issues but in that game Eagleville popped up everything and the one hit they did have could have been ruled an error. Jeffcoat was a lot sharper in the beginning of the season last year than the end. ER ran out of pitching and still was in striking distance but none the less the better team one. Last seasons tournament was A LOT more balanced and talented. South Pitts starter is a Lefty who was low 80’s but couldn’t maintain his velo throughout the  outing, their #2 was more impressive last year, we knocked him around this year and his mph was down some. Their #3 isn’t bad neither, throws a lot of strikes and sits high 70’s.
    • He actually had a really solid spring.  I could see him getting some backup snaps on offense and be a regular on special teams.  Really athletic kid who can run.
