smallie
scoreboard says Cleveland won by 1 pt. Any description of game would be nice.
BackyardLegend
Cleveland won an exciting game. It came down to the last secont lay-up in overtime by Rhea County that didn't fall. Jay Davis from Cleveland drew the charge as the horn sounded. Prior to that play, Cleveland missed two free throws that could've forced Rhea to hit a 3 to tie. Rhea rebounded the second missed freethrow and went coast to coast. Jay Davis stood his ground and took the charge. The referee at first signaled no call...but then signaled a charge as he was running off the court. Neither team deserved to lose this one. BigDawg55
Yeah, it came down to a last second lay-up at the buzzer in overtime, but dispite the classic buzzer beater scenarios from movies and books, I wouldn't exactly call it an exciting game. Until overtime, there was not even a tense feeling in the crowd. No one seemed to care. A nice dunk by Little, although he had about 5 opportunities that he passed up. Little and Hyatt did not even guard each other the majority of the game. Not the classic showdown many people expected to see. Thought the Ref running out with the Rhea coach on his coat-tails was rather funny though. The Big Dawg
911
No "charge" was called on the final shot...as a matter of fact no call was made at all. With 1.1 seconds left there had to be a violation. In my opinion it was a blocking foul on Cleveland. But I agree that both teams played well enough to win. basketballisbest
Unfortunately, for Cleveland the prize is playing Bradley again. After that heartbreaking loss earlier, Bradley will demolish Cleveland. Unfortunately, for McMinn County, they will also have to face a Rhea County team with something to prove. McMinn should also win big over McMinn.

GoldenEagle11
Actually, the referee did make the charging call as he was running off the court. I kid you not.
Whiskers
I just think it's amazing when a ref standing two feet from the play calls a jump ball under the basket...... and then is over-ruled by the ref standing at half court. Earlier on, the same ref who over-ruled that call seemingly missed an over and back call when standing in the same place! Also, the same ref called an obvious travel, a foul, again from further away than the ref closest to the action. All these calls would outweigh the no-call, or the charge at the end of the game.
