Bradley's Boys are in a rebuilding year. They got a lot of points last year out of their distance people and with Jeff Taylor and Caleb Morgan gone and Kyle McDowell not running, Bradley will be depending on some really young guys in the distance events. Lamar Thompson is awesome, particularly at long jump and triple jump. He is an excellent runner, but he is totally awesome at those two field events. Shon Lowe could be better than his brother Shane, who also graduated. Bradley will also miss the points from Jerome Robinson who is not running this year. We'll know a lot more when basketball is over and we see how many bballers show up for track. I know Coach would love to have Yarrish Hammonds come and high jump. Things should begin to fall in place for Bradley's girls now that basketball has ended. If everyone comes out for track that has said they will, Bradley girls will be tough on the 400 and longer runs, but they are hurting for girl sprinters. They also only have one true girl hurdler back, although a couple of other girls can and will hurdle when necessary. My guess is that Bradley will be good but not totally awesome. :o

Brentwood is also AAA and yes it is relevant. They both will be working for a state championship this year. (you are talking about Brentwood Academy). IF you did not know Brentwood Academy is never called just Brentwood, that is beneath them. Brentwood does not want to be recognized like BA, that would be beneath them.

Brentwood will walk all over everbody. They have Bumbi and another strong distance runner who i feel bad for running in Bumbi's shadow, then they've got tremendous depth in sprints. NO CHANCE

BHSfootball and Passinggame1,

You are both obviously football fans, and Im glad youve branched out a bit, but at least dont pretend like you know what youre talking about. This post clearly states that Brentwood will be good because of Bumbi and other good distance runners. If you were any kind of running fan at all, youd know who Bumbi was and youd know he ran fro Brentwood Academy, not Brentwood High, so maybe it isnt below them...?

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
