7AA vs 8AA

Both teams have another opponent first. Let them take care of that first. Did anyone realize that Upperman put Hume Fogg out of the tournament the last two years?

Upperman has played Hume-Fogg without all starters and lost by 3 (66-69)

Upperman has beat East Lit. which beat Hume Fogg 77-68

David Lipscomb also lost to East Lit. 73-53

Upperman beat East Lit. 58-47

Upperman record 11-1 #1 in district

David Lipscomb record 11-5 #4 in district

Hume-Fogg record 9-7 #3 in district

I say York and Upperman are the only teams from 7AA to make it.

i don't understand how anyone can possibly argue that 7aa is as tough a district as 8aa. MLK will handle livingston as will HFA with Smith county. I don't know anything about York so i dunno about them and Portland, as for DL and Upperman this will most likely be the closest matched game in the tourny. I think Upperman will probly beat DL becasue of mathis and hartung but other than that i look for 8aa to dominate 7aa.

Throw out Macon Co. and 8AA is heads above 7AA competition wise. Way too much parity in 8AA. Springfield came in eigth in the league and might have had the most tallent. I bet they would have a winning record if they played in 7AA.

Night Stalker, You are ruling out 7AA way to quick. If I remember right, two 8AA teams were put out first round and there was one 7AA team and one 8AA team in the regional finals last year. I think that 7AA will really surprise 8AA this week.And replying to dizzy, I agree that Smith Co. fans were way out of line the other night @ TN Tech.

Elliott, I'm noy trying to push any 7AA buttons or slap any faces. I just think that this year 8AA is stronger from top to bottom. I do think that Upperman will beat Lipscomb though. Good luck to all the teams, 7AA and 8AA.

Why does everyone talk about last year and other years before that. This aint last year, and things are different. I know for a fact that 8AA is loaded. I hate it for the 4 teams in 8AA that got put out in the first round of the districts b/c they all could compete in the regions and probably even farther. I'm not sure what 7AA has but I think we would have heard more about them throughout the season if they were even half as good as 8AA so I'm gonna say 8AA gets at least 3 wins in the first round if not 4.

I believe DL has a great chance at winning. They are going to be much more motivated being that it is win or go home. I dont see them losing an elimination game.
