Best player ever in east TN

marc smith... he is the best player ive seen in this area in a long long while. lee humphrey was good but he is no marc smith. i seen him hit 14 threes in one game. he flat out took over the ball game. if he would of had any grades we would be watching him play at the next level right now. he had one of the sweetest jumpers ive ever seen. he sorda reminds me of a present day allen iverson. cause he also had that street ball mentality. like someone said on that other site i also seen the dunk they mentioned.

John Johnson from Bearden is the best I've seen from East Tennessee - started for two or three years at Maryland and averaged in double figures one or two seasons in the ACC. That would have been in the early to mid-80's.

they cant touch marc smith... too bad he ended his career in a freak snow skiing accident that tore both ACLs

i seen marc smith play in high school and he scored 69 points 13 reb. and 12 assist. he was one of the silkest players ive ever seen.

another player that could really play was thomas heffern he averaged 33 points a game and 11 assist truley a michael jordan comparison

How bout Elston Turner from Austin-East?? Not a bad player at Ole Miss.

Anthony Roberts from Chattanooga Riverside--didn't he light it up at Oral Roberts about 30 years ago?

Skip Brown from D-B is also a good choice.

What about Ronnie McMahan. He played college ball at Vanderbilt. He led McMinn to the state tourny in 1990.
